Work really well
I wasn't sure which in-ear plugs to get that would actually work. I usually use over ear hearing protection and usually use those cheap foam in-ear style buds for work. Read reviews on many, many buds, and for the price decided to go with these ones as I didn't want to spend a fortune on a set that didn't quite work as I was hoping. Well, these do. They make shooting my AR 15 almost unnoticeable, if it wasn't for the recoil. Shooting my .45 is the same. Normal volume conversation is hard to hear however. They do have a plug that you can pull out to hear better with, but they are hard to remove one the plugs are in, and that is no easy task to get them in. Which is my only complaint. I found that squeezing the foam tips slightly, then quickly putting them into my ear canal and giving them a twist into place gets them in pretty good, then I just hold them there for about 15-20 second to let the foam take shape. You can actually feel them expanding, then the ambient noise is gone. I have shot with them 2 times now, both for about 3 hours and they stayed in the whole time and never got uncomfortable. The other complaint I have is that they should come with different size foam plugs, mine are a bit too big. But they work and that's all that matters!

Best Ear Protection EVER
I've done a LOT of hunting and target shooting, with many different firearms and many different calibers. I've used a LOT of ear plugs, and ear muffs, and these are by far my favorite. The design is super effective at stopping sudden loud noises, and immediately opening to allow for slightly muffled hearing. Most ear plugs constantly block a certain amount of sound, but these allow for normal conversation when the environmental noise is at a low level. I've bought a pair of these for every member of my family, and everybody likes them. They're comfortable to wear, and they work really really well.

Very pleased with these
I have only used them a couple of times, but overall, I am very pleased with them.

Works great
I regularly shoot a 9mm pistol at an outdoor shooting range. I was hesitant to buy these due to the fact that the noise reduction rating is only 14 db if you don't use the little plastic plugs, i.e. if you want to be able to carry on a conversation at a shooting range. Having used these ear plugs, I think what they mean is that the plugs reduce "regular" ambient noise by 14 db, but that loud noises above a certain threshold (like a gunshot) cause the NRR to ramp up to 28 db. Someone can correct me if I've got the details wrong, but what I do know is that these plugs work just as well as the regular foam type plugs, at least for shooting 9mm outdoors. Just make sure that you roll/squish the foam part before you stick them in your ears, just like you would do with regular foam plugs. Now if you're at an indoor range next to someone shooting an AR-10 with a muzzle brake, I think you would want to just pack up and leave. But seriously, you would want to insert the little plastic plugs in these earplugs, and probably wear muffs over them as well. And maybe move over a few lanes.

Foam tips too small and costly
These are nice, they feel comfortable in the ear. The little plugs work some but I still feel like you have to yell to talk, and yes I had the plug out. I took these shooting outdoors and for the most part they worked to protect my hearing, with some exceptions. I think the foam eartips are a tad too small for my ear canals. I will say I believe I have bigger canals than the average Joe. I realized this because I fired off a larger .308 round and my ears Bagan to ring (plugs were in). Another negative in my eyes are the foam tips, you must replace them every 2-4 weeks depending on usage. The foam tip replacements cost almost as much as the whole thing brand new. If you have normal sized ears these work decent. With the slight ability to hear people speaking. For me they don't work so I am returning these unfortunately.

Better earplugs then what my work provides
Very comfortable earplugs for wearing for long periods. Overall good noise cancellation. I usually wear these with the filters open so I can hear people talking to me better. I work in a manufacturing facility where the average noise level is over 85db and even with the filters open they provide plenty of noise cancellation.

Great Product.
I tried these yesterday, at an indoor range where there were other shooters using large caliber firearms, nd they performed splendidly. I wore them for two hours and they never felt uncomfortable; in fact I literally forgot that I was wearing them. I had seriously try to another product by this company and was not satisfied with it. I think part of it was the sizing (I purchased a medium, and clearly needed a large), but I believe the foam cups on these really make the big difference, both in terms of comfort and effectiveness. I do think it's very important to go to the company's website and watch the video with directions for how to insert these. To distill it, it's important to collapse the foam cups a bit by rolling your fingers around them, and then rotate them slowly into the ear. If you merey try to push them in, they will not fit well.

NOT the best
This is 15 NRR at best. It IS uncomfortable and you should NOT leave them on for more than an hour. If you are a serious marksman, don't use these. However, if you only go to the range for a few minutes at a time and are using a small caliber weapon, you should be fine. Also, do not make the mistake of sleeping in these.
