Electric Blanket King Size - Dual Controls - Luxury Bed Fleece Heated Mattress Cover, Machine Washable Underblanket - Overheat Protection (King Size)

My previous electric blanket gave up the ghost so I decided to buy this Sweet Dreams one because of the many good reviews and I am not disappointed. My old e. blanket did me a huge favour breaking down as this one is far superior in quality and comfort. It covers the whole king size bed (no gaps or shortfalls unlike my old one). The fleece is so soft and cosy. The controls are in the best position, out of the way at the very top of the blanket, not under your shoulder. My old one was uncomfortable is this regard and it had ties on it which I never used and so it wrinkled up which was also uncomfortable but this Sweet Dreams one has a mesh skirt which has plenty of room (and some to spare) to fit over my fairly deep mattress on top of which is a featherbed and so the new blanket stays firmly in place.I did have a bit of trouble understanding the controls - after turning it up to highest (6) - when I tried to turn it down, after 5 seconds it went back up to 6, it kept doing this until I realised that the + - on the right hand side is for upping the temperature and the + - on the left of the control is for the down temperature (if that makes sense)In my mind I had been thinking the left + - was for the other side of the blanket (silly me) but of course it is dual control. To me the highest, 6 was not too hot, just lovely and comfortable and when it was turned down the heat lingered a long time so you still feel warm once it's turned off. When I switched off my old blanket the heat instantly disappeared. I highly recommend this Sweet Dreams e. blanket and wanted to buy another one from the Amazon seller but unfortunately the king size cannot be shipped to me here in Ireland for whatever reason/s since I bought it so I may have to buy another from elsewhere. Strangely, it says that the double size can be shipped here so why the limitation ? This brand is not easy to find though, only here on Amazon and one other famous site. To anyone wondering if this electric blanket is any good I would say, go ahead and buy it because it is good value and very comfortable and cosy for all the reasons stated above.

This item is lush, it is fleecy feel and you can't feel the wires when you lay on it, it fits the full bed not like most that have just a patch, it has a full elasticated skirt so you can tuck this under the mattress all the way around. it comes with two side controls heats up nicely I did not need it on full and was lovely and warm

The very best purchuase I have made for winter.It is nice and soft, very comfortable to sleep on. Has 2 sides and each has remote control and can be set up separately. which is perfect as allows to control each other half. Has a 9h timer. It is wired inside, however the soft cushion around masks it very nicely. This blanket goes over the mattressCons- Significantly adds to the electric bill (more than £1 per night use)- Had to buy additionally suspending clips to ensure that blanket stays in place- Has 6 heat settings, but it is impossible to sleep when it is higher than 3. 2 is comfortable when the room temperature is between 15 and 17C

One of my best purchases ever! The sides are deep so fully cover the mattress. It does not move around which I found other brands did. However the thing that makes this electric blanket brilliant is the ability to adjust both the time and temp. A couple of hours before I go to bed I turn the blanket on (putting it on level 2 or 3) for the max amount of time (9 hrs). When I'm ready for bed the bed is lovely and warm. I tend to drop the temp to level 1 at that point and increase the time to 9 so its on the full night. I love the fact that once the time is done the warming function stops. This alon is why I love it. The electric blanket I have on the guest bed is the traditional one whereby if you don't actually turn it off it'll stay on forever - which is pretty rubbish and a waste of electricity.Sure, it would be amazing if it was programmable and had a 'mattress warming' setting but I haven't seen any blankets that do this...at a price that not in the squillions of pounds.All in all it has more than paid for its self. I've had it for 2 cold winters, recommended it to friends and family who love it and bought one for my Mum who thinks it's the best thing ever!Oh and I forgot the other amazing thing is that it washes well though you'll need a high capacity washing machine or take it to the dry cleaners. We've done both with no issue.

The heat controls on this blanket are easy to use. The blanket heats up quickly. It is a comfortable blanket to sleep on under the bottom sheet without feeling any of the wires. Thus far I am happy with item.

I really love this dual control option. I don’t really understand the complaints about the controller being to close to the bed, it’s better that than trailing a long lead up to you to be able to grab the controller on the end.It also heats up quickly in my opinion. Others have stated it’s too slow. But it’s totally fine. I flick the blanket on to warm the bed and rarely leave it on longer than an hour or so. At maximum heat setting it gets really hot so it’ll be no problem in the depths of winter. It’s really only been tested in terms of temperature on a couple of frosty nights, and it has served really well for those. So I expect winter to be offset reasonably well with this.I like the fleecy cover, can’t feel the wires and it’s really comfortable. One word of warning, it makes the bed very warm even when not switched on, as the fleece top adds Alex tea insulation, so may advice is don’t put it on the bed until you really need it, as we put it on in September and it wasn’t cold enough yet and felt we were overheating just from the fleece alone. It’ll make this winter very cosy though. Would recommend.

This product only worked for 12 months which was when the guarantee expired! Obviously an electric blanket is only used for a few months of the year and I was away for one month in the winter so it has had very little use!Considering it cost £79.99 it worked out very expensive for the short use I had. Very disappointing!
