When rain would hit the old metal flashing on my property, it created a horrendous clatter that echoed through the house. I decided to give the TroyStudio Mass Loaded Vinyl Soundproof Barrier a try, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.The material is thick, heavy, and clearly designed with soundproofing in mind. Installation was surprisingly straightforward—I used Loctite Power Grab adhesive to secure the vinyl over the metal flashing, and it adhered perfectly. Once in place, the difference was immediate and remarkable. The noise from the rain is now completely gone, turning what was once an aggravating experience into a quiet and peaceful one.This product is a fantastic solution for anyone looking to reduce unwanted noise, whether from rain or other sources. Highly recommend!

We had to take our place down to the studs so we the opportunity to try to soundproof our mother in law rental unit from the main house. We put this in place over what were once doorways between the two units. We put it over the insulation under the drywall. We used the green tacks you can buy here on Amazon to put in place. We then used green goo sealant on the drywall. It absolutely shut down the sound, which has been an issue in the past. Its heavy but very easy to cut to size with scissors or a utility knife. We are also using in a bathroom adjacent to the other unit which has sound issues. It might seem expensive but it's actually a very cost effective way to soundproof or drastically cut sound. We used Rockwool Safe and Sound insulation, another great product for reducing sound in a home or office. You can get the insulation at Home Depot or Lowe's.

It works very well. Used it to cover in wall speakers next to a bedroom! The amount included in the roll was just enough to cover these 3 speakers.

I lined inside of my washing machine and it's significantly quieted the noise

It is what it says it is: a heavy mass matt good for sound deadening.

So, I have a nice 55" 4K TV on a stand that sits on an awesome ZVOX sound base. I ran into this unfortunate situation that if music or a movie had really high levels of base the stand feet for the TV would vibrate, hum, oscillate and it was very annoying. First I just tried a hand towel under it and it reduced but did not eliminate the annoyance. Thus, I went looking for something that would absorb/dampen the high level base sound effect making the TV stand feet generate noise. Ultimately, I chose this product and put it between the TV stand and ZVOX, viola no more annoying TV stand vibration and noise - hurray!

I bought this to wrap 3 inch pvc sewer pipe. It is perfect size for the pipe but does not wrap entirely around any of the connections. Another 3/4 inch wider and it would get most of the connections like the couplers and elbows. Thus you nearly use twice as much material as you have to cut short sections and turn them 90 degrees to wrap around the couplings. This nearly doubles the cost, and significantly increases install time and decreases its effectiveness due to the increased number of seams. It is heavy and it does work well but make note of the above when considering. Not sure if there is a choice of a wider role or not. Adhesion does not apply, there is no adhesive with this product.
