I am a 74-year-old woman who still likes to mow my grass abd take care of my yard. I did look at quite a few battery powered mowers after my gas mower died. I love this mower!! I am only 5 feet tall but when putting this mower together (extremely easy) I was able to adjust the handle to fit my height. It is very light-weight and easy to handle and maneuver. I have a fairly large yard. The battery will go for at least 40 minutes - I don't want to completely drain it and recharges in about an hour and 15 minutes. I have to recharge it one time to do my whole yard. If the charge light is still blinking after an hour, I have found that if I take the battery off the charger and really smack it back in the charger it shows fully charged. There is no dread in mowing the lawn now. It's a piece of cake!!November 12 update: Reading through some reviews I noticed some people had an issue with the battery being hot when taken off the mower for recharge. This created a lengthy time as the battery has to cool down before recharging. I have had that happen only one time on the first time I used the mower. My grass was high, hadn't been cut in a while, and the engine had to work harder. I noticed it going going to max power many time with that mowing and since the engine worked harder the battery became hot. Not extremely so though. I just put gloves on to remove the battery. I let it cool with a fan blowing on it for about half an hour before placing it in the charger. I have not had a hot battery since that first cut when the mower worked so hard. I still love this mower!

I like that it was delivered a day early. It's very lightweight which I like; makes it easy for a disabled 64 year old woman to handle. It does a very good job cutting the grass. Battery charges quickly and lasts a good amount of time. Assembly was easy once hubby and I stopped trying to make it more complicated then it is. First off, I had very low expectations when I ordered this lawnmower because of some of the reviews I read about durability and battery strength. However, after using it, I think I am pretty impressed by the overall performance.Let’s talk an about the battery. Due to some of the negative reviews I read, I decided to get an extra battery. Both that and the mower arrived within 3 days on the same day, after they were shipped . I had some trouble charging the battery that came in the box with the mower because it couldn’t quite fit onto the charger. It kept giving off one red flashing light which had not been defined in the manual. The extra battery on the other hand fit immediately with just a little nudge and the green light started blinking almost immediately. I wasn’t able to really check how long it took to fully charge because I was already frustrated with the first battery.The mower was easy to assemble although the assembly instructions were no good. Most of it was already put together and did not require any special tools to add the rest.I was able to mow the entire frontage of the house with just one charge on the extra battery. The mower automatically increased its power when mowing thicker areas of the lawn. It’s lightweight and can easily be moved around the lawn without any hustle. The back of the house was quite bushy and the battery went out after a few rounds. I switched it out with the battery that came with the mower and I was able to finish up the rest of the yard. Although it appeared the mower was at full power for the most part, I think the second battery should have lasted a bit longer.

I’ve had this mower for a year now. It was very reliable for the first summer: Starts up super easily, is relatively quiet (sounds kinda like a lawn vacuum lol), light weight, and I can mow my average size yard on one charge. It mulches really well, and even handles high, thick grass effectively. I stored it in my shed over the winter, and was thrilled this spring when it started right up! I’m so happy with this purchase! At the affordable price, I’d buy again.

The mower I received would not start. I purchased an additional battery, charged both batteries, and neither started the mower. The owner’s manual said a “safety key” was optional and after looking through all packaging, I determined my mower did not come with one. I found the location of where a safety key should be, but the area was solid plastic and had no ability to move or be manipulated. I sent two separate emails to Power Badger customer service asking for assistance and did not receive a response to either email (over a two week period) I made two different calls to the customer service phone number. In the first phone call, I was repeatedly told to insert the safety key even though my mower did not come with a safety key. In my second phone call, I was told again to insert the safety key. When I explained multiple times that the safety key area was solid plastic and could not be moved, I was told that what I was saying wasn’t possible. I asked the customer agent specifically if the safety key feature was optional as the owner’s manual described. He told me it was not, contradicting the owner’s manual. His recommended solution was to take the mower to a small engine repair shop to diagnose the problem. When I questioned why I should be responsible for taking a brand new, non-functioning mower for repair, He said that I might be responsible for the repair if the problem was outside of warranty. It is a brand new, never been used mower!! His final recommendation was to wait until Monday (I called on a Friday) to talk to other members of the team. Other people have left positive reviews of this product but my experience has been horrible.
