Heartbreakingly Beautiful
To say I'm a book worm would be to say that The Rock or Arnold Schwarzenegger enjoy light exercise.I live and breathe my favourite books, and have been looking forward to reading Gibsie & Claire's story for over 4 years. At this point, I have come up with many different scenarios and stories in my head, but not one holds a candle to Taming 7.I expected some of the twists and turns, but absolutely did not forsee some of the most impactful moments of their story. From the moment I first experienced the B.O.Tommen world, I have adored both Gerard Gibsie, with all of his hilarious antics, and his friendship with his Claire Bear.Their relationship is serious #friendshipgoals: the way they are there for one another, always showing up - no matter what; never judge one another; are loyal to one another above all else; get and understand one another better than anyone else; know when to push, when to provide distraction, and when to provide safety - a safe place to fall. That, plus their banter was a solid 100. They could be utterly hilarious, arguing about the most ridiculous of things one moment, and in the next breath be holding hands and providing support and sanctuary. With one look, they knew what the other needed. I wish I had a ride or die like #Clisby (<- that was obviously created by Gibs, lol). That said, there were uncharted waters for them in Taming 7, where they both had to learn and grow, which is never easy.Plus the Gibs Kav bromance is still going strong, and, believe it or not, gets even better. Their bromance is one for the ages. There was also the added element of dealing with some vicious bullying from within their own group, forcing there to be battle lines drawn and crossed, which will surely play a huge part in the coming books. And whilst the book showed us how Johnny, Shannon, Joey, Aoife, and the lynch kids were healing, growing, and thriving, it also provided the friendship goals, banter/ craic, and raw emotion I've come to expect from Walsh's world in Cork. Seeing how much Shannon is coming out of her shell, how much more confident she is, and seeing Joey more settled, content and seemingly more at peace was beautiful and made me so happy. Both getting the better life they deserve.I did not, however, expect to spend hours sobbing uncontrollably, as part of this book is harrowing. Harrowing, I tell you. What one of the characters has endured - with a smile to hide it all, no less - is astounding, their strength and kindness as inspiring as it is heart breaking - gut wrenchingly heart breaking.I thought Walsh had packed her biggest punch with the Lynch's. I was wrong. I was so, so wrong. So obviously, I will be rereading the entire series with my newly gained knowledge and perspective, already knowing my mind is going to be blown (whilst most likely using up another packet of Kleenex) all over again from the strength and compassion I was shown in Taming 7.Hats off to you, once again, Chloe Walsh.Your imagination is a wonderful thing, and I'm so grateful that you share it with us.The writing was beautiful, and I love that you hardly ever use "said/ says", but enhance your books by being more descriptive and not relying on repetitive words. It truly elevates your work and makes the experience as a reader much deeper, I feel more connected to the characters partly because of how you write the dialogue. How you write makes me feel every word, every feeling, every moment, and that is both phenomenal and painful. I have always said that my favourite books have to make me *feel*, and BOT has never not done that. The characters are also incredibly realistic. Their thoughts processes, their feelings, their humour, their demons, their hopes, fears and dreams, it all comes across like reading real people rather than characters in a book. I have never experienced the realness of characters in any other books or book series. I cannot tell you enough how rare and talented that is.I cannot wait to see where the next installment goes, what journey it takes us on.To anyone who hasn't read the Boys Of Tommen yet: you should. Do yourself a favour and discover both a new favourite series and an immensely talented author. You've been missing out on an immersive, fun, genuine and emotional book world.

Chloe you queen, you have done it again!!
From the very first page, Taming 7 swept me away on an emotional roller-coaster that I won't soon forget. This captivating tale explores the deep bond between Claire and Gibsie, a connection that grows stronger with each turn of the page. One of the most compelling aspects of the book is the way it delves into Gibsie's past and his heartbreaking loss of his father and sister. Despite the darkness that surrounds him, Claire emerges as his unwavering source of support, shining brightly as his "sunshine" in the midst of his storm.Chloe Walsh's writing style is nothing short of mesmerizing, with vivid details that bring the characters and their bond to life in a way that feels incredibly real. Every moment between Claire and Gibsie is imbued with such depth and authenticity that it's impossible not to be swept up in their story.Taming 7 is a testament to the power of love, friendship, and resilience in the face of adversity. It's a story that will tug at your heartstrings and linger in your thoughts long after you've turned the final page. If you're looking for a book that will take you on an unforgettable journey, look no further than any of Chloes books ❤️

Taming 7 - 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I absolutely LOVED this book! Claire and Gibsie are just so perfect and I loved seeing their relationship from this perspective! It shows just how deep their connection runs and that even the people who know us best don’t know everything. Gibsie has such a huge heart and it was so difficult at times to read the trauma he has endured. This book made me feel all the emotions, I laughed, cried and RAGED!!! I’ve rated it 5⭐️ as over all it was but there were some things I feel could have been done better.I loved the characters and the plot so much (Gibsie has my heart) however I feel this book took a little while to get into the plot and then was very fast paced at the end which compared to the other books in this series isn’t typical. Also, NO EPILOGUE!!!!!!😭😭😭😭I feel a little like this was left unresolved and I know they aren’t getting a second book so I’m praying for a little Claire and Gibsie novella😂💖

Emotional rollercoaster
Chloe Walsh has done it again! Another fabulous read. In the other books in the series you get glimpses of Gibsie and his character but nothing could prepare you for his story. It’s heartbreaking but it’s so well told. You go through a range of emotions whilst reading, keep tissues handy! Was lovely to get a peek at the Lynchs and see how they are all thriving. The friendship group won’t be the same….bring on the drama🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

How does she do it again and again?!
First of all - I finished this is one day, finishing at 4am. I could not put it down! With each book I am blown away by the way Chloe is able to make you belly laugh one moment and sob the next. She somehow manages to make you feel so connected to these characters in a way I have never come across with any other author.Gibsie is by far my favourite character in this series with his silliness, weirdness, humour and heart of gold. My heart was so broken for him. I think there is one line similar to "please not Gibsie" and that rang so true!Lizzie has been such a toxic character in this series and I find myself really not wanting to feel bad for her - but I know, once her story comes I will have to accept that Chloe's writing won't give me a choice and will break my heart again. Can't wait!!
