My teenagers and I began using my husband's dusty old weight set and found we were struggling to advance because his increments were too much of a jump. I did a lot of searching online trying to find sets that had what I thought would be perfect (certain numbers of .5, 1, 1.5, and 2 lb weights) but wasn't finding what I needed in a single set and didn't want to buy multiples of so many $$ sets. Although these didn't have the specific increments I was looking for, it had enough of the same increment that I just use multiples of it as needed. Not exactly what I had in mind when I started my search but worked out in the end. Only suggestion: I wish it had come as a set of 10 or 12. 16 would have been too much so I didn't just get two sets.

It adds that small amount of weight when that is all you need is a little more.

Dumbbell handles measured 1.160” and these are 1.05”. Bummer.

It was driving me crazy having my available dumbell weights be 3, 8, 9, 13, 14, 18, 19, 23lbs etc. especially logging my workouts in an app that only gives you the option of 2.5lb increments for anything beyond 20lbs. With these I can make my dumbells exactly 25, 30, 35, 40lbs etc. and log my workouts accurately. Not too thrilled with the price for what they are but they do what I wanted and I'm glad they exist

These plates enable gadual loading of dumbbells. They are ideal for people recovering from injuries, for older people or for those just starting out with dumbbells. They are metal, not plastic filled with sand, and should outlive the user.
