Very Good Budget Set
I got this with fairly low expectations but it has been quite surprising and I have to say I am impressed with the performance. I'll start by saying that this is a budget set; it's not a professional grade shop set by any means, and if you're someone needing to frequently use it, you'll probably want to aim for a higher one to begin with. That said, this set for a casual user is sufficient to meet almost every need. The set is expansive with almost all common sizes represented, making it quite flexible. The tools are well cast, and with a couple exceptions there are no issues with the thread surfaces that cause binding, and no chips. Where exceptions exist they are more of a finish issue than a functional problem, and I haven't encountered one that didn't complete the job.The hand-cranks are similarly well built, however I dislike the handle system on these, as they are small in my hand compared to my GearWrench set which has a wider paddle handle. The round handle also makes it a little harder to index and prevent rolling which can cause trouble (it's not a huge issue since you should be paying attention and going slow, but it's there). I also feel like if I had to torque a bit, these handles are a potential point of failure. When it comes to performance, there is a notable difference in ease of use compared to the GearWrench set I own. This one requires a little more muscle to work, and struggles a bit more on harder metals, and I wouldn't attempt cutting new threads on anything in the Grade 8 range (though I think it would perform to clean up threads at that level). This comparison should note that the GW set is more than twice the price of this set, and is aimed at the professional level, so there is a little apples-to-oranges argument there.Overall, I think this is a very high quality set for the price point, and while it's far from a universal answer, it will more than satisfy the majority of casual users and DIYers that aren't doing tap and die work daily. It's impressive, affordable, and with proper use should last a very long time.

Comprehensive tap and die set for an up and coming mechanic
My 17 year old son loves working on engines, originally starting with small engines and now rebuilding an 86’ Ram W100 pickup. The last few years, he has asked for tools instead of toys when gift times come around. As he slowly builds his collection, I noticed he was often going for my tap and die set, so I thought it was time to order his own. While these might not be the very best quality on the market, they do the job fine for him and are a great starter set. To be clear, I haven’t seen any issue with them yet, but until they have been used a lot, it will be hard to judge their life expectancy. As is, I would recommend them to those starting out or just looking for occasional use.

Truely a large complete set
I have a small set that is pretty well shot (both tap wrenches don't really function) so I was happy to get this one. These wrenches seem to be quite sturdy, and having several wrenches covers a good range of possible bolt holes. The description says large and it really is - it weighs close to 14 lbs.I've only made a couple holes (in a 3/8" steel plate - no problem) so I can't speak to durability yet, but I've never had a big problem with taps wearing out. The case is not really heavy duty, but what is nice about it is it holds almost all the pieces in place well - I hate opening a case of tools this size and having everything tumbling together. Early on here, but so far looks like a nice set.

Includes METRIC
I bought a complete METRIC set and was looking for a COMPLETE SAE SET. Obviously that did not happen. I'm so tired of false advertising. A few years ago I bought both sets that were all of one standard. Gave them to my Son and not wanting to take a gift back I was taken advantage of by false advertising.Because ONE of the pictures showed METRIC, I'll keep the set and probably give it away after I get what I want.

Cheaply made holders and plastic covers...
The taps and dyes are good don't get me wrong, but the place holders for the product with the cheap plastic is terrible. When I opened my dented up case I found all the taps had fallen out of place and now have spent more than an hour putting them back in place only to close the lid and pick it up by the handle and all the taps and smaller dyes to fall back out of place again. Don't use the handle to pick up, pick it up like a box with the bottom always parallel to the ground unless you want to play what goes where for an hour or so, depending on you ability to read the sizes on the taps.

Comprehensive set of thread chasers
This set has a good range of the most common standard and metric thread sizes. Each tap size includes a plug tap and a bottoming tap. They should be good for chasing threads to recondition a hole. However, the grinding is a little coarse on the tapers and inspecting some of the taps, I can see some of the cutting edges reflect light, indicating some blunted edges so they don't appear to be the finest quality for cutting new threads, especially in any challenging material. There are two main sizes of tap wrenches, plus a smaller chucking style tap wrench. There is a comparable range of dies as well with two die holders, one for each size. The large dies are split, but the smaller ones are not. There are only two pipe tap sizes, 1/8 and 1/4, but two of each. The case holds everything securely but is just a blow molded case with living hinges and snap latches. Certainly not the highest quality set but you get a lot of pieces that will certainly help with thread repairs.

Largest DIY Set I've Seen
This is the most complete set I've seen, and of course, that I own. It all comes in a nice hard case. Each piece has its own slot that fits it perfectly so the pieces don't fall out. Each piece is marked with its size. The case is also marked. I like that they are marked, but they could have been marked better to make them easier to see. With 110 pieces, I probably will never need another set. I don't think anybody can go wrong with this great set.
