Excellent Humidifier – Smart, Quiet, and Efficient!
The Dreo Smart Humidifier has been a fantastic addition to our home. It’s super easy to use, and the smart features like app control and scheduling make it incredibly convenient. I love how quietly it runs—you barely notice it’s on, but the difference in air quality is clear. The large tank lasts through the night, and the mist output is strong but well-balanced. It also looks sleek and modern, blending in nicely with our room decor. Highly recommended for anyone looking to maintain comfortable humidity levels with minimal effort!

Works Extremely Well - Easiest unit To Clean By Far - Certain Functions Only Available With The App
This is an update to my previous review. I have another brand of humidifier as well, a Levoit, which is very effective, but in terms of ease of cleaning, the Dreo is superior. The Levoit has a lot of nooks and crannies with lots of right-angled corners, making it quite tedious to get to all the mold that develops over time. The Dreo has very few such corners and crannies, making it far easier to clean. Also, as a result, it just stays free from mold for a much longer time. I clean them on a weekly basis but find very little that needs to be cleaned on the Dreo, but a lot of areas that have developed black mold spots on the Levoit.Previous review: I had posted a question here about whether humidity target levels could be set within the 5% standard range. I didn’t receive a satisfactory answer, so I installed the Dreo app on my phone, which was very easy to do. I connected almost immediately to the humidifier. And yes, you can set specific target percentages. I currently have mine set to 43%.Another question I had was if it was normal if the fan continued to run even when the target humidity had been reached and the misting ceased. Interestingly, no one responded to that question, but the AI Rufus came up with the answer that it was normal, and indeed that is the case. The fan runs continuously even after target humidity levels have been reached. I had both questions because we run the device only in auto mode to allow it to kick in when necessary, and I noticed that the fan was running when the misting had stopped. I also found that in our bedroom, where it is used, setting it at 45% caused it to run excessively, but set at 40% allowed the humidity to drop too low. For us, 43% is the sweet spot but can only be accomplished through the app. I was contacted by someone from Dreo support and told that the fan runs continuously to help spread additional moisture even when not misting and also to give a reliable humidity level reading as it draws in ambient air even when not misting. The fan is virtually silent and you wouldn’t know it was running unless you put your hand right over the outlet. The unit is of very good quality, light, and compact. It is perfect for a bedroom but not for a larger space. We use a larger capacity Levoit unit for our vaulted great room. The Dreo is also very easy to clean. That is extremely important as anyone who has had one that wasn’t as easy will understand. Mold will grow! We clean ours once a week and fill them with water from a Zero water filter pitcher. That or distilled water is vitally important. Anyone who has gas appliances - furnace, stove, fireplace - will see those flames turn yellow or orange, if using tap water. We did, and it cost us over $300 to have a gas valve unnecessarily replaced.I have read complaints from those who said that the unit runs dry quickly and stops working. If you live in a very dry climate, that is understandable, but we live in the mid-Atlantic and only use them in the winter. The auto mode is perfect as it only kicks in when necessary. For others, larger capacity units would be advisable; for us, using this in our bedroom, it is perfect. There have been no leaks; the units’ lights can be cut off with a tap and cut back on with a double tap. It’s virtually silent; I wouldn’t hear it if it were placed right at my bedside. At this price, I doubt you could do any better. I had not wanted to connect it to WiFi as I thought it was ridiculous to have a “smart” humidifier, but I really wanted to fine-tune the humidity target, which can only be done through that app. All in all, I would highly recommend this for smaller spaces(bedrooms, not great rooms or vaulted ceiling living rooms).

Mediocre performance
update: The second unit I got also started to show the same degradation, albeit this time I caught it early when only one crack showed and quickly put some silicone sealant over it. It's nowhere near as bad as the first unit and not leaking (still it looks like the tank started melting somehow..) I contacted the manufacturer to tell them what happened, and they responded within a few hours. They offered to sent a replacement unit at no cost to me, or for a refund; as I wanted the features that came with the unit I took the replacement. (and with shipping costs these days it'll probably cost as as the unit just to ship it back), so they didn't ask for the replacement, just wanted a photo of the label and serial number. Within a week I got the replacement unit, so I'm glad they have good CS and that the warranty service was quite painless.Second EDIT: Well, this is rather upsetting. in the middle of the night, I woke up to use the restroom and saw that the tank had turned off because it was empty. This was odd because I had filled it up only a few hours earlier, I saw that the tank had leaked water all over the table, damaging my books that were on there. I thought, "Stupid me, I didn't put the float back in correctly" But as I was carrying the tank to the bathroom to fill it, I felt something sticky on it, looking at the tank, the left side had cracks all along the bottom seal, and it looks like the sealant they used to glue it together had somehow dissolved and left spiderweb cracks all along it. I refilled the tank and it immediately leaked all over the place.I have NO idea how the heck that happened since I followed all the instructions to a T, cleaning it every 100 hours, making sure no essential oils got in the tank. No idea what happened. >:( Luckily the return window was still open for 3 more days, but shoot, I woulda be ANGRY if that happened just after. My books are still ruined though :|EDIT: After running the unit for 18 hours on high, it managed to raise the RH from 35% to 45% which is where I generally like it. Still kind of annoyed it took that long, but it's keeping the RH steady.I got this to replace an air-o-swiss humidifier that had a busted hygrometer and cracked tank. I got this because of the claims of a might finer mist with better performance.Alas, it's not very good. Even at maximum the mist output is not very strong (the images outright lie), it looks to be similar to the medium setting on my old unit. Normally, It takes about 20 minutes to raise the humidity 10% in my room at maximum.I've run this unit at full for 5 hours and I've raised it a total of... 3% This is definitely not able to keep up. The hygrometer on the unit is fairly accurate (it's within about 2% of a calibrated room sensor)The unit doesn't use essential oils to diffuse, but rather it goes into a tray onto a pad where the air intake is and sucks the sent into the fan and disperses it that way, so it's not very strong.

Very quite & has a phone app
Works very well, helping to open up airways. Very Quite & love the small light in it. Doesn’t take up hardly any space. Works with a phone app or front buttons. Great easy setup.

Fantastic product
I'm really impressed with this Dreo Smart Humidifier! The 4L tank is fantastic – I don't have to refill it constantly, which is a huge plus for my bedroom, and it easily handles a larger space too. The best part, hands down, is the top-fill design. Seriously, no more awkward spills or wrestling with a heavy tank. It's super quiet at just 28 dB, so it doesn't bother me at all while I'm sleeping. I love having the option to control it with the touch panel, the app, or even my voice – it's so convenient, though I had a tiny connection blip once, it sorted itself out quickly. The nightlight is a nice touch, and the cool mist is perfect for my plants and just generally making the air feel more comfortable.
