Nice antenna
The antenna appears to be nicely made. I used it on a 5 watt handheld and hit a repeater clearly 30 miles away.

Balling on a budget!!
I am a 14 year Vet/25 year State Trooper SWAT Operator (Retired). This is what I run on my SHTF Plate Carrier.

Adds range of reception and transmission!!
The addition of this antenna to my handheld radio boosted the performance and range by at least 50%, or more. Everyone in my unit was amazed that I was able to communicate with incoming aircraft with a handheld radio when they were unable to do so with base radios. This antenna makes a huge improvement over the basic antenna included with a new radio. I have used it in the field under the most extreme conditions and it performs flawlessly. I’m very pleased with it and I would purchase it again. The advantage of being able to position it and have it stay in place is also a great benefit. I would give it a 10 out of 1-10!!!
