Awesome machine that does way more than the cricut joy
This cricut joy xtra is affordable and can do way more than the cricut joy. Would highly recommend getting this one instead of the joy since this has a sensor and is compatible with a home printer allowing you to make stickers without any problem. It also allows you to do bigger projects than the cricut joy since it’s bigger. You could easily make larger than mat projects with this machine, 3 foot piñatas, larger logos, and it is easy to use. Love that you can make many projects without spending too much like you would with the bigger versions. It’s a great size so you could even fit it on one of those 3 tier carts with wheels and have your own movable cricut station. The downside is that it does not have the scoring option and you won’t be able to engrave. Love this machine and would highly recommend if you want to get into the cricut wagon. It’s a perfect first cricut.

Great product, easy to use
I have been using the Cricut Xtra for a few years now, and am truly impressed with it's versatility. It's compact, with removable power cable, and the housing and components are very sturdy. It's an affordable product that produces accurate and remarkable cuts quickly. Great for any medium with a width of 9.5in (for smaller sizes, I recommend the name brand mat). Cutting tips are easy to change and are available on Amazon from third-party at very reasonable price. Bluetooth connection is stable most of the time - if there's a problem, unplug and reconnect power and it works, with no risk of losing your project.

Perfect for Beginners and Small Projects!
As someone just getting started, I couldn’t have picked a better machine. The size is ideal—not bulky at all—and it’s incredibly easy to use right out of the box. It’s been great for small DIY projects, labels, and party decorations. Handy, reliable, and surprisingly powerful for its size!

Compact AND FUN.
What a JOY ... pun intended for sure. It's so much fun and watching videos on Angie Holden's Country Chic Cottage via You Tube that make it MORE than a JOY. She is a delightful representative for this product; gives in depth information and answers questions and replies to comments left. I am keeping it BECAUSE OF HER!! I wanted a machine that would just CUT ephemera out for me from digital kits I buy on Etsy. AND she had a STEP BY STEP work-a-round for it!!! This is a lot of fun to use, cuts beautifully, and the compact design and quality of the machine make it a properly named JOY!

Shockingly Inaccessible for a “Beginner-Friendly” Device
I work in IT. I troubleshoot hardware and software problems for a living. And yet, setting up the Cricut Joy Xtra has been one of the most frustrating tech experiences I’ve had in years. It will pair with my Mac for about three seconds, then drop the connection while the machine’s light flashes. I’ve removed and re-paired the device more times than I can count, shut off every other Bluetooth device in the house, power-cycled everything, followed Cricut’s support steps to the letter. Still nothing. And because this model is Bluetooth-only, you have no fallback option. No USB cable, no wired setup. Just hours of troubleshooting for something that should work out of the box. For a company that markets its products as accessible to beginners, this is a major accessibility fail. If an IT professional is spending multiple hours wrestling with it, I can only imagine how impossible this must feel for someone who just wants to craft.Bottom line: I bought this to make things, not to debug their bad Bluetooth stack.

Cricut Joy: The Small Machine with Big Dreams!
I bought the Cricut Joy thinking it’d be a cute, little craft tool to help me make cards and labels. What I didn’t expect was a machine that had more ambition than I do. This tiny powerhouse is like the underdog of crafting devices—it's small, but every time I use it, I feel like I’m unlocking hidden crafting superpowers. One minute, I’m making custom vinyl decals, and the next, I’m wondering if I could create an entire new wardrobe with just this thing. It’s so easy to use, it’s like Cricut read my mind and decided to make a machine that could be operated by a toddler (or, more realistically, me, because I can't handle complicated tech). The fact that it can cut out intricate designs that make my DIY projects look like I hired a professional? Absolutely unfair. My only complaint: now every time I see a blank surface, I hear the Cricut Joy whispering, “What about me?” It’s got me looking at the world like it’s one giant crafting project. In short, it’s compact, capable, and quietly shaming my lack of creativity. 10/10, would totally recommend for anyone who wants to craft like they’ve got their life together.

Perfect machine for me
This is the perfect machine for those that usually work with smaller projects. It’s very simple to use and works pretty fast. The small design is nice because it doesn’t take up much space at all.
