Why did you pick this product vs others?:I am an off-roader and needed a tape to mount my numerous gadgets in the cockpit of my truck. I really needed an adhesive that works in the southern climate inside my vehicle. 3M is always the winner when it comes to reliability and quality. After researching the best heat type adhesives, this brand and type were always top of the list.Ease of removal:The point of purchasing this adhesive is so that it bonded well and was NOT easy to remove. This has succeeded on that front in our recent temperatures in the south. The surface is painted with a clear coat where I mounted the tape, making this easy to remove residue with little effort and no damage.Heat resistance:PERFECT! Most adhesives become super soft and saggy in high heats then any item mounted will fall off. This adhesive was exactly what I needed to beat the southern heat.Works well:Easy to use and will remain a staple in my vehicle for all mounting purposes. It is thin enough to not add depth to any mounted item.Stickiness:The stickiest! I have gone thru 4 other mounting strips in my vehicle and this one is by far the best I have used.Adhesion:I am not sure what other surfaces this could be used on, but for my purposes this was the perfect adhesion. When you first pull it from roll, it does not appear to have a lit of stick, but this has out performed any other tape I have used.Size:This is perfect size for small or large items, since it is tape, you can cut it down for small items or use a few strips for larger items, but your adhesion improves over time - always wait a little longer for bonding to set before mounting an item to the tape.

This stuff works. Period. I’ve used it for several projects, it’s especially great for installing flexible light strips. It grips and stays where you put it.

Decent product. Works for awhile then it might give in. I've had to replace some, but overall it works fine. The stickyness is 4/5.

For building drones and generally sticking things together I love this tape.Be fore warned that it doesn't work like duct tape the bond isn't instantaneous. If you want this tape to work well once you press the 2 things you want to adhere together press them together HARD for a two to three minutes. After that and holds quite well. It also removes without leaving a lot of residue (but be careful with painted things, it isn't on the gentle side.)

Only needed a small bit to install the console accessory storage to my wife's Sienna. Works great.

I use VHB at work for surface-mounting various items in high-wear applications.It's extremely good. There are three steps:1) Stick it to your work piece2) Peel the backing, apply the item to its new life partner, and hold it like you're staunching bleeding3) Wait 30 days for a full cureThis stuff is STRONG and once it's cured, it's not going anywhere.It will leave residue, although with good technique it's possible to peel it off cleanly. At full cure, especially where it's hot and dry, this stuff will lose its plasticity and become more of a cement, and you will basically have to chisel your thing off whatever you stuck it to.I've seen these last for 3-5 years in the field to mount USB hubs under desks. You can imagine the abuse what with gravity trying to pull them down 24/7 and some electrical engineer or dental assistant ramming USB connectors into them and tripping over cables and whatnot.It's not super cheap but it comes in lots of sizes and it will do the job.
