Works great, do not get stove too hot I feel like that caused it to break

I like the color coding so you can tell from a distance your wood stove's temperature. Also, the numbers are larger, making them easier to read. The unit seems to be fairly accurate. I have checked its readings with an electronic heat gun, and the accuracy on mine is good.

It seems to work fine. I'm shocked it doesn't melt. Just appears to be plastic, and I think from testing it against a Lazer thermometer, runs a little low. Overall satisfied.

I have used these for years on my wood stove. When I went to get a new one for a friendsstove, I noticed that some of the newer brands are making the rating of the temps lower!as to what is too hot or not! Good grief! The stove needs to burn at a certain high tempfor a short time at least to help clear the soot out of the chimney. If you make the high tempa too high one, then this wont get done. I always watch it in the red and leave it just near the borderor above for a short time , unless I am cleaning soot, or cooking,,, then I am right there using it for cooking and you need it in the red!

Works very well. Is quick to show minor temperature changes. The magnet is strong.

I would zero star this if I could. I bought a pair of these for Christmas presents and tested them out on my stove, they had a variance of 50F between the two.I ordered another exact set of these to see what the issues was. They ALL have huge variances in temperature. Complete garbage. Do not waste your money on these. I have $26 in temp gauges that I kept so I could show my friends just how terrible some products are.
