It's a beautiful knife, is it practical? Yes it is, a person can easily use it to skin a deer. The knife was sharp out of the box, and since it is made with 440C steel it will not rust no matter what. I still coated the whole blade with ballistol just for extra protection and let it sit for 3 days before wiping off any excess. The length from my wrist to the tip of my middle finger is eight inches, some other reviewer said this knife is for a child, i disagree, it isn't for a child, they complained about it being too small for them, it fit perfectly fine in my hand, and i never cut myself with it because it has a thumb rest on the top of the knife, in fact it has 2 thumb resting zones and my index finger fits in the small circle area on the underside of the knife, this prevents any loose gripping.I would highly recommend to buy this knife because it is unique, cheap, will not rust, and can be used to skin a deer easily. The company that makes this knife might no longer exist in 20 years, i'm just happy to get it while i still can.Buy the stainless version instead of the blackened version, its more beautiful to look at.

My third purchase from doom. So far each blade has been of the same great quality. I will continue to buy from this company. It feels great to continue to get excellent quality for the price they sell these for. Haven't been disappointed yet. Feels good to buy a product that far exceeds the purchase price in quality. Others could easily sell these doom blades for 3 times and would still be a good deal. Can't go wrong

I'm a knife guy. A real one. This knife takes a pretty decent edge for its price, I changed the angle using a bench grinder to make it sharp to my standard. Here's what to do if you want to have this as a decent knife. When it arrives, get a number 10 torx bit and remove the handle panels, thn flip the panels so that they are the wrong way on the knife, like back of the handles are facing. Forward now. The holes will line up and it will completely change the ergonomic of the knife. Far superior to its original configuration. Try it out.

The hilt is narrow and very thin and short. This does not suit an adults hand. This is a kid’s knife at best. An adult cannot hold it. Not useable for camping or hunting. Do not buy this knife if you are an adult who expects to actually use it for something
