OK, I admit, I am addicted to super polished silver. I own almost exclusively all silver jewelry and lots and lots of silver plate table wares! I also have 2 sets of sterling silver flat ware!!I adore silver!!! I have to have my silver almost white clean/ polished! That has not happened in a very long time! Especially my jewelry was not getting polished or worn, because it had all gotten so tarnished and black! Especially the thin, delicate chains, were so much trouble to polish! Even in spite of having real silver cloth covers for much of my silver, the paste stuff was just such a pain and mess to deal with!A friend recommended this. Now, I have real jewelry artist friends who had recommended these little pad things; a pain to deal with! and not cheap!!! I took a chance and bought this. I am so glad I did! I dunked all my chains, earings, necklaces, etc. in it and within a second or two, BINGO all bright, white, clean and shiny new!!! I poured some of this into a larger baby-food jar for easy dunking!Stunned!! I rinsed everything very ,very well in Palmolive dish soap/hot water and a very good rinse in warm water, laid to dry on clean dish towels and the next morning, all the gorgeous silver jewelry was ready to wear proudly again! WOW!!! Literally seconds to polish what once took me hours to labor over!Next, I did all my silver flat wares and table things. I poured some on a clean old baby flannel cloth to polish some things. Others, I put the stuff in a glass dish and dipped the things in. I cleaned everything as I stated above!Now, one thing I do need to point out!!! I have noticed that the polished look doesn't last as long as using the paste stuff. My earings got a yellowish tint after about a 2 weeks of wearing. The table wares are yellowing also. However, in my opinion, if it will only require me a second to dip and rinse and ready to go, heck, I can deal with that!!! I poured some of this into a larger baby-food jar, for easy dipping and usage! So I have that at easy hand to just touch up my things as needed!I highly, highly recommend this for easy, effective and amazing results of silver polishing! I am delighted to have found this!!!

I use this frequently to clean jewelry in a snap. Works amazingly on silver jewelry, though it is still useful on gold that has been mucked up. The tarnish on the silver comes off before your eyes! The smell is off putting, but you should be using something to keep you from inhaling it directly anyway. You also should be very careful not to spill it. I use a funnel and strainer to put the liquid back into the bottle as to not waste it too quickly. Seems to work just as well, and I only throw it out after it gets dirty. Great product, essential to my business.

I like this product to take away the tarnish until I can polish the silver. I use my silver everyday so I keep this handy to remove a tarnish spot. Great product

I purchased this after (unsuccessfully) trying to use silver cream and a horsehair brush to remove the tarnish from this antique silver basket. I wish I had taken a before photo, but basically - the entire piece was severely tarnished and all the grooves and details were stubbornly stained black. After hours of silver cream work, they weren't budging! But after using the Tarn-X, it's now perfectly shined and tarnish free - even in all the intricate detail work. I ended up pouring the Tarn-X into a glass bowl and soaking the basket in stages (never longer than 2min at a time, per the directions). It smelled a bit like rotten eggs as the chemical reactions took place, but after several passes, I now have a beautiful antique showpiece for my china cabinet. I've already ordered two more bottles to tackle the candlesticks next!

My Parents have been past away now for years. One Item That they gave me, a long time ago, was a silver book mark, with an inspiring blessing. It was so tarnished over the years that I didn't think anything would clean it without damaging it. I remembered my mother using this product when I was little, so when I saw Tarnix on Amazon I decided I would give it a try. I was amazed! The minute the liquid touched the silver, the tarnish literally rinsed away. It looked brand new, and the inscribed blessing was clean and clear. I was given a bit of advice that after cleaning the book mark I could use a thin coat of spray on lacquer to seal it from the air and it would remain tarnish free. I bought a polishing cloth and it was not working well and was a lot effort to try to remove the tarnish. I opted to buy Tarn-X to remove the tarnish on my silver and silver plated items. The solution smells like rotten eggs and you need to be in a well ventilated area when using. I opted to dip my jewelry into a bowl of the solution. Instantly the tarnish was gone and my jewelry looked like I just bought it. One of my silver bracelets had a yellow tint to it after I dipped it. I used a silver polish cloth for 30 seconds and it looked brand new again. I highly recommend this product to bring back the beauty of your silver pieces.

I was leary due to some of the reviews but I can only speak for my experience. I’ve had this Tiffany set that was a Christmas gift from my mom over 2 decades old. I hadn’t worn it due to the tarnishing , but this Tarn X did an amazing job as you can see in the photos. Since It worked so well on the set I also cleaned an old pandora bracelet as well. It really does have a funky egg smell but who cares because It definitely did the job!!! I’d give this 10 stars if I could.
