Have used these many times by now through the microwave and autoclave. Have had no deterioration of the glass or surprisingly the labeling on the side.Easy to pour without spilling thanks to plastic lip around rim.Product seems to good quality in terms of thickness and heat tolerance.Highly recommend!

Doesn’t leak but doesn’t survive heat that well. One literally exploded on me when I added boiling water to it. Other expensive media bottles won’t do this. Just grateful I was wearing my safety glasses. The bottom has a really deep concave making it impossible to be able to use a stir bar if you plan on using these for agar.

The bottom off the glass inside has developed brown spots that seem to be inside what appears to be chip marks. It can not be washed or rinsed away. Stuck a knife inside and can feel the chip. The brown is similar to a rust spot. Also if you hold the bottle at a certain angle and shake water will work its way out of the top with the cap fully tight.

I needed glass 1000ml water to make softened water for my espresso machine (so it never needs to be descaled) and these are really nice! Very good quality, caps fit tightly without leakage.

One of these bottles exploded when I filled it with boiling water, and the shards of glass cut through two layers of gloves and almost to the bone of my middle finger. I have never had this problem when preparing media in a lab with real media bottles. These are dangerous and not heat-safe, and you should not buy them because they will ruin your experiments and injure you.

Bottles seemed good on arrival, but after about a week of use I have noticed strange brown spots on the bottom of two bottles. The bottles have contained water and Dawn dish soap (for cleaning). Attempted to use a bottle brush to remove spots but was unsuccessful. Not quite sure what the spots are and I unfortunately am unsure of how to remove them.

It is supposed to be borosilicate glass, that doesn’t crack due to changes of temperature. Yet it does crack
