I will have to say, this is not for the DIY type/. 1. The unit comes with a pre-programmed web based GUI for configuration ONLY. If you want to use it after it has been configured, you will need some programming know-how. I ended up creating a web page for my relay control and using example coding with .ymal to get it working like I wanted. If you want to control this unit with no programming experience you will will need to do the " cloud " THING. All waveshare had to do was pre-program a simple control page along with the config page. The subscription based business model is getting old. This is being used in a NO internet site so the " cloud " THING does not help those using the device with no internet connection. Hope this helps someone. It's open source to a certain level. However, if you are looking for a way to automate off grid with no internet connectivity this device works once figured out !

device does not get ip address without complex third party configuration software. software is vague about mac address. diagnostic utility is chinese and difficult to display English menu. third peogram required to operate unit. Very difficult to decipher and configure. Documention is overly complex. Hardware could be hacked thru apparant dual macs. Operation interface software demands account setup at each startup. Remote access from web very obscure to configure involving additional P2P setup. I wasted 2 hours and am an IT professional. Dont waste your money.
