Solid scales with a professional feel
Very impressed with these scales - nice solid feel to them and the display and controls are very user friendly and intuitive, with a large clear display screen. Good, clear instruction manual too which is always a bonus - the "calibrate with any weight" feature is very handy. The scales are distributed by Abcon, a UK based company who offer an extra 4 years warranty if you register your product.

Very pleased with these
Just received these "PROSHIP LARGE Digital 181Kg x 50g, 400lb Heavy Duty Postal Postage Parcel Packet Shipping Platform Scales", and so far appear to be just what was expected. These have more capacity, of 181kg, and better resolution, of 50g, than the JSHIP332 - 150Kg Platform Scale with 100g resolution, though this scale is now a bit more expensive. We also have the POSTSHIP Digital 20kg parcel scales, which we have been very pleased with. While essentially industrial scales, they would not be out of place in a modern bathroom and appear to be much better than normal bathroom scales, though significantly more expensive. The control and display can be mounted on the wall, although it does stick out quite a bit and can't be angled up as much as one would like. With the scales on the floor, I made a small wall shelf bracket, about chest height, with a couple of pegs to locate in the fixing holes, for the display to stand on. This makes the display much easier to use, but it is easy to move the display, if the scales are needed elsewhere. One annoyance is that the locating pins, on the display pivots, that are supposed to hold it at the required angle, do not have strong enough springs, so the display is prone flopping down, so it can't be read properly. These scales are also to be used for weighing other heavy items, such as large parcels. Having the control and display separate is a great advantage, as the parcel doesn't then cover the display. The available measuring units are just kg and pounds, but not stones-pounds.The brushed stainless steel top is ideal for cleaning and if water may be splashed on them, such as in a bathroom. The metal top is a bit thin and also is quite a soft metal than is easily scratched, if shoes are warn on it. Moving around on the scales can make up to 100g difference, but that is within the variability to be expected with such scales.A small design issue is that the lead to the readout is attached to the weighing platform, so if the tension on that is change during the weighing, such as catching on the parcel to be weighed, this can affect the reading, so it is important this lead in not moved during measurement. It is best to have the scales standing on a firm, flat, horizontal base. The scale can run from the included mains adaptor, but can also be run on batteries, six by AA. Don't know how long the batteries last, but will depend on use. Those in the POSTSHIP scales have been ok for a year or so, with occasional domestic use. Using it with batteries is a lot more convenient, but I put a label on the power adaptor to help me find and identify it if later needed. The scales now run from the mains adaptor. When obtained, the Auto Hold is active and found this a nuisance, but it can be deactivated, but needs careful reading of the instructions. A similar thing goes for the display illumination auto cut-out and the auto shutdown. If you are running this from the included mains adaptor, and don't need to save the batteries, you may also wish to deactivate these features. So far very pleased with these. I can now keep an accurate track of my weight, to better than 100g, to ensure I stay below the obese limit. These have sufficient resolution that I can quickly see if I have gained, or lost, as little as 50 grams, less that a cup of tea.

Multi-tasking scale
I have been using this scale for a few months and I’m happy with it. It does the job very well.Although you can use it with batteries I prefer to use it connected to the electric socket. It is useful that the display is separated from the scale so the objects do not block the view. You can basically weigh any type of objects. I use mostly for parcels and to weight myself.

Good but broken too soon!
This is a decent scale however I don't expect it to stop working after 4 months of use. Will try and contact the company for warranty claim but we will see. Not pleased given the price point.

User can re-calibrate; bargain price
I bought this to ensure I didn't get a surprise at the airport with over-limit bags. The hand-held scales are crap and break after 2 seconds and are wildly inaccurate. And these hand-held luggage scales can be £15-£20. I'd probably replaced a bunch of these over the years so wasn't bothered about spending £60 for a good scale that would last. Indeed, get hist with a over-limit surcharge and you'll wish you spent the £60 on some good scales. The scales can even be re-calibrated by the user with something with a known weight like a Kilo bag of sugar. So no expensive serving by third-party companies is required to own these scales. Excellent quality, light weight and a great value.

Decent set of scales.
Purchased these due to increased shipping at my business. Very well established bricks and mortar and new to online shipping. Decided on these as an entry scale with the view to upgrade in future if the online side kicks off.Super easy to use and very clear. Fine to use on a slightly uneven surface as it will calibrate with the feet to an extent. The display being independent from the scale is very handy. I have mounted mine on a wall but you can easily just pop them on a counter top if need be. Display is large and reads well. Illuminates once weigh settles. Havent tried the auto hold feature but explored the options menu which is very easy to navigate and change options. Weighs up to 120kg ish which is much more than expected and very useful. There are a couple of small downsides but they don't really cause any huge issues:The weight display reads to two decimal points. Generally this isn't an issue for shipping as such but for other use cases it may be unsuitable if finer measurements are needed. The angle adjustable wall mount can only be mounted one way to the display. As such if you are mourning it against a vertical wall you cannot angle the display upwards. Removing the display from the mount and reattaching upside down does not work as the adjustment ball bearing is only on one side. I discovered this as I mounted it below eye level so had to remove and reattach higher up.
