Google Nest system is the way to go!
I can’t speak highly enough on these cameras. We use the whole google system on the house. Love how everything works through the app.The camera picture quality is great. Capture of people on camera works excellent. We have the battery operated ones that need charged. We have to charge them about every 3 weeks depending how much the camera is recording. Ed also use the cameras at our cabin and they stay charged for about a month or longer as there is very little activity happening.

Continued customer
I have been utilizing Google cameras since before google bought nest. These have the same great quality i have come to know and expect from the google nest series. Easy to install and set up, and the service fee isn't too bad when you think what commerical companies would charge.

Image quality is excellent. Battery lasts around 6 weeks. If you live in a cold weather environment the battery will drain rapidly. I live in NC and just came through a Southern Winter and there were several times the battery drained quickly on me.

What a great product! The sale price was an added perk! These cameras have amazing range and are so clear the recording is like being there in person! Highly recommend!

battery life is just horrible
after years of having a great experience with the older Nest products, although their wired versions does not withstand (power cable) UV light and will ultimately fail to work, but still a great camera. I reached out to Google about this and basically told me to buy the newer wireless cams as the warranty was expired - i would have expected a bit more from google as this is clearly a design/material fault. For the newer version, the battery life is just terrible, i am have to charge these cameras every 2-3 weeks depending on activity, its just a major hassle, especially when out of town. The transition from the nest app to the home app is also troublesome, i have older and newer versions of Nest and have to manage them on 2 different apps. Not Great - Conclusion, nest started out great, i was a big fan, but now i feel they dropped the ball on multiple fronts - I spent a lot of money on Nest for home and business, and decided its time to move on to another product with better features and less hassle, and no monthly fees.

They work
I don’t know about the complaints but these work fine for me. No issues at all. Love that I can check my home when I want.

Not usable as a battery camera, need to buy extra cables!
I am usually a fan of Google's devices with thier easy set up and robust operating and resetting in adverse coditions. This 3-pack of battery operated cameras failed to meet that expectation. Considering the 3-pack cost almost $450, I am severely disappointed in the shortcuts taken and the false claims about battery life. What you need to be aware of is that:1) battery life of these are not enough to get you through the night (if solar powered for example)2) providing power to the camera requires a unique Google proprietary cable. How many sets of power supplies and cables come in a 3-pack? ONE! I had purchased the 3-pack of solar panels and thought that would be the solution. Nope. One camera only ran briefly on this set up, and I still haven't been able to get the 3rd camera to connect (despite router and phone in the same room, so it has to be the battery or a broken camera.) So I have to play musical chairs with the one charger and power supply to get a camera up and running. One still hasn't but I will update when I find resolution to that problem.Frankly, I wish I would have stuck with the wired 1st gen cameras (indoor or outdoor depending on the need) and that's my recommendation to you.
