Beautiful set! I do wish the board was solid and not in parts because once you set it up you can’t really move it anywhere mid-game. But I guess the box would have to be huge if it was one piece. The quality of the pieces is great! Wish the pieces were magnetic to the board too. But overall great set and my boys play it almost daily! Price is a little steep but Minecraft is super popular so I get it. Worth it!

One thing that was extra nice was that the board is hard plastic. A little rough for kids to snap together and setup. But a good board once together. If you like themed chess sets and minecraft this is a good product. Pieces are good quality and are good size. One complaint on the set is that the standard chess icons are printed on the front bottom of the pieces. But not the back. So when you are playing. It is easy to forget what piece is what. And need to view the Frontside to refresh your mind. All in all. Happy with purchase. Looks good with rest of collection.

My nephews are obsessed with two things: Chess and Minecraft.Obviously they're nerds, okay?This set is heavy, sturdy, and really cool looking. For the most part, no complaints from those who recognize minecraft characters, but a bit of feedback from an elderly boomer man who plays chess with his grandsons:Because the characters chosen for each color (Regular and Nether) were not identical, it was hard for him to tell which was which on his opponents side, so he had no way of knowing if his grandsons were moving pawns or queens or bishops incorrectly.If you're a Minecraft fan and can tell the difference between characters, this is PERFECT. If you are my boomer stepdad, then you may wanna skip it.

This is a lovely chess set, but there is an error in the board set up making it hard to play.UPDATE: I went to the website for the store. There is nothing on the box or on the Amazon page to tell you how to contact them. I emailed them the problem and they were able to find the missing part and sent it. THANK YOU!!

I was a little apprehensive to buy this due to the price, but I am glad I did. My 7 year old nephew LOVES Minecraft, but has most of the toys you can buy at the store and I didn't want to duplicate anything and also wanted something a little more thoughtful/unique. This was exactly that. The set is large so it caught his attention and then each piece has nice detailing which he loved too. He kept asking the adults to play him at the Christmas party he was so excited about it. I highly recommend for any Minecraft loving kid out there. You won't regret this purchase.

Very cool set for kids. Kids were extremely excited. The board was very cool, 4 parts that snap together. The actual pieces are softer and could break like plastic does after extended use.Happy with purchase
