Q: Is the clasp metal or plastic? Metal irritates my skin.

The little nub that goes through the holes in the band is metal but the actual buckle piece is silicone like the band itself.

Q: Do these have the metal piece at the watch end to attach to it?

It has a metal piece that snaps into the slot on the opposite side of the band. Typical of most fit bit bands.

Q: I have tiny wrists and this says it fits 5 1/2 but the feedback is that it is still too long. Thoughts?

I have small wrists too but the length doesnt really bother me at all,it actually feels snug and length isnt an issue for me
