Full disclosure-- I already have 5-three drawer boxes like this by another brand. I use them to hold my large colored pencil collection which grew exponentially during the time spent surfing art supply stores during the shutdown. This is the best method I've found to keep the pencils sorted by brand and color. I keep a plastic silverware tray nearby and shop the drawers when I'm working on a project where I keep them sorted by color family until the project is complete, then replace them in the drawers for storage. When a pencil gets stubby, I reorder and keep the new pencil with the stub.The other five boxes are all the same brand and still for sale here on Amazon but they're now prohibitively expensive. I knew I needed 8-10 more drawers and finally settled on this one based on reviews. Also, I liked the idea that all 9 drawers were in one case as my others tend to slide around on top of each other. My other boxes came with some issues like drawer fronts that needed to be reglued and staples that came loose so, honestly, I was hoping for better construction this time.The box came well wrapped with no damage, however, as others have mentioned, I was unable to removed some of the drawers. The drawers were uneven and stuck but I finally realized that there had been some shifting and settling during shipping. I removed all the drawers, rearranged them until all but two fit nicely and flat against the box face, then sanded the edges of the last two a little. You've got to have the drawer level and *just so* when you slide them in with no slight turning to either side. They need to be straight and level. I sanded again and now all the drawers are opening and closing smoothly. At some point, I'll do as others have mentioned and get a little beeswax on the sides and it should be good to go.The construction is excellent. The drawers are well made and much sturdier than my others. I like the runners along the sides and the groove in the side of the drawers. The box is actually finished and looks great. And I really like that the dividers slide in and out freely and are *not* glued in place. So yeah, even though it took a little finesse to get them straight and in order, I'd buy another.

I've had mine since Sept 2023 and it's perfect in every way for my use. I can keep over 700 cabochons in the drawers. I put labels on the outside so I know what's in each space before opening it. I open the drawers constantly and they still slide just like they did when they were new. My drawers still look brand new and I've not done anything to keep them looking that way. They are even deep enough to hold round gem jars.

The unit looks nice and matches a rolling cart I purchased, all for art supplies. It also offers the most drawers. Unfortunately, those are the only things going for it. While the bamboo material is nice enough, these units must be assembled in a damp state - and when they dry out in your home, they warp, and the tolerances are too tight to begin with. That's why the drawers bind. In fact, on my unit all but 2-3 drawers were wedged in place - useless! I had to sand the drawer grooves and the slides quite a bit to make this thing even functional. I reached out to the seller (as per their request no less) and got NO RESPONSE. This unit is junk... Save your money and buy "the other one."

4 STARS BECAUSE.....shipping method is horrid. thin white cardboard box with 1/4 inch of Styrofoam lining the box.BOX WASN'T EVEN TAPED SHUT.My second set of drawers arrived with some scratched damage to the front of one of the drawers..bit disappointing on that... if it weren't such a hassle to return things, i would ask for one that is not scratched up.Box was all banged up, I am surprised they arrived mostly without any extensive damage beyond the scratches.Also I ordered 2 together, they arrived a day apart.. separate boxes, both the same thin white box..I would have rated 5 stars if the packaging had been better, and they had arrived together..NOW THE GOOD PART...I bought these instead of the other brand I was considering. I am very glad i did.. enough so, that i may consider 2-4 more in the future.. I do wish they were a bit less cost considering they are cheaper woods and basic glue.. if they were a few dollars less, say around 26.00 - 28.00 each i would consider more...Made well, more sturdy than i had hoped for and will last many years hopefully. drawers will line up,but do not fit in the slots snugly and they will shift from side to side if moved, there is a bit too much gap.So you will need to line them up yourself.Dividers are easy to remove..They do have an odd smell, I am hopeful that it will fade with time.. its not really too offensive, but is a bit bothersome if up close for a long time...
