Great value, easy install!
Saved me time setting all this up myself. Great value for what you get. I used this to upgrade my son's Huffy Mickey Roadster Racer from 6v single motor to 12v dual motor. I have not done much of this before, but everything was pretty straight forward. Most pieces seemed to be standard and fit right in place. Only parts I had to adjust were the shifter and pedal. Shifter just had to remove the mounting bracket from the switch, and the pedal switch housing was smaller than the original, so I just popped out the switch and used it in the original pedal housing. Unfortunately, I had to leave out the remote steering as the steering on the car was not the correct length to use with a motor. The steering motor did fit in place, so it is likely a standard size that would work in many other vehicles. I will likely look at it again when I have more time, and I am sure I can find a way to make it work. The biggest downside to this upgrade was leaving previous sound and lighting electronics unplugged as they are setup for 6v; however, I do plan to buy 12v to 6v step down so I can reconnect the lights and sounds. The results after install were astonishing. I have not actually verified speed, but before the upgrade on the very well used 6v battery this thing was going maybe 2.5mph at best. I can definitely say after the upgrade it is at least 8mph possibly closer to 10mph. When I sent my kid for the first test drive we were both astonished. I guess in theory it is to be expected, but wow, this thing flies!I do wish that it was able to have a low and high speed, which will be my next thing to try and figure out, as I have nieces and a nephew who I do not believe could handle the speed of this thing!

Great value for what it is.
My son has the 6v Rollplay GMC Sierra Denali and it nearly matches my truck so he loves it. It’s a little too slow for him now and he has a 24v 4x4, but his brother is now almost ready for a ride on but isn’t tall enough to reach the pedal and doesn’t totally understand steering yet. I got this kit mostly to convert it to remote control, but it converting to 12v is a huge plus not only for speed, but for going up hills from a stop (a 6v is one wheel drive, so it would kick them sideways on acceleration from stop).Like others have said, it isn’t plug and play but great for the money. The wiring is thicker than the 6v wiring, but if I were building it myself, I would have used a thicker gauge. I ended up using both new motors and keeping the old one as a spare since they were marginally quieter then the existing one. I used the existing accelerator pedal since the new one didn’t fit nicely in the plastic. I drilled holes under the dash for the power button and shifter since the wiring wasn’t long enough to go up to the dash and I was time crunched and didn’t have time to nicely splice and heat shrink them. The steering motor didn’t physically fit in the location I needed it to, but looks quality enough. All in all a solid kit.

Simplest and cheapest option for Diy RC (pics soon)
Havent finished hooking it up yet but beware this will require fabrication and cutting to make it work with your ride on!This in my opinion is your best option for diy remote control with a ride on. Buying other various parts to set this up otherwise is typically more expensive and requires alot more work and will most likely have issues along the way. With this kit, the motors included is a great value. Because the biggest issue with a diy ride on is typically steering control, the motor this comes with is your best bet at basic steering. No variable speed or automatic wheel straighting without a pentiometer but its not neccesrary.Another bonus with this is you get a remote stop switch to keep the driver from going. Parental speed modes and the motors do start at a low rpm and build up for the wheels versus standard ride ons that just jolt full speed forward.Overall it seems like it will work well. Since i got a 10 dollar junk power wheels with one gearbox already stripping, this definitely the best value for a complete overhaul fix up

Steering motor shaft is to small for Dodge Ram power wheels
Works great was pretty straight forward to install assuming your a mechanical minded person. The only thing is the steering motor shaft size was very small I think this is meant for smaller power wheels not the Dodge Ram for sure. The truck steering shafts are much larger in diameter then the motor is so you will have to make a new shaft. I wish they would tell you the size. Also it may be how I wired it but it seems a lot slower and less powerful then it was before but I didn’t use the motors from the kit because the motors I had on the power wheels were fine.

Not a simple build, but very cool build
The media could not be loaded. First things first. This is not a plug and play set up by any means. It does not come with instructions or even a hint of completion so make sure you're a competent macgyver before tackling this. There isnt a nice place to mount the steering motor unless you want to do spacers and screw through plastic. I made a bracket out of 1x1 square. Sleeved the steering shaft (after cutting it in half) and ran it across the front of the jeep for stability.I'm not using the pedal or shifter. The kit works with them unhooked or tucked away. I used stock motors spliced into the new harness, the control unit and power button. Most of the stock stuff is just unhooked sitting there til my kids old enough to drive himself. The wires are pretty thin compared to the stock stuff, but havent melted yet!

It stopped working in less than one ride
The remote stopped connecting and working halfway through the first time using it. It was too late for a return as we waited to give it for our child's birthday.

A little bit of elbows grease and ingenuity will get it done.
The product was as expected. We bought 2 power wheels on clearance for my special needs daughter and her twin sister. I modified one to be remote controlled as she can not control it herself. I am happy with it. Be advised that this is a DIY kit, so there is no instructions and there will be some fabrication involved. All in all I am pleased with the results. I am rating 4 stars because of the remote. It pairs fast and works well, but I would have liked to see a more traditional design. Would buy again.
