Easy set up works good...
We've had the video doorbell for some time, but only recently realized, we really need a chime. We live in the country, but surprisingly, some folks actually push the doorbell button. Rare, but happens. So, picked this up and happy with it.Set up was real easy. Scan the QR code on the back of the chime, plug it in and follow the set up steps, only took a few minutes, was quite easy. Once set up, it works just as it should. Default volume is good for us.One thing I noticed, there is a slight delay from when the doorbell is pushed and this chime makes a sound. Only a second of two delay, but wish it was a little quicker. not a big deal, just trying to be detailed. When you set it up, it lets you set the volume, but after install, I can't seem to find a setting to change the volume, that is odd. Hopefully I am just missing it.Honestly, I so really like the look of the older version, think it was 1, with the fabric looking cover, wish they would have kept it, it looked more elegant and more modern. Not that this unit looks bad, just looks more plasticy.Good chime, kind of price, but works well, would recommend. Most likely going to get another one for the basement.

Don't expect any useful support
I recently purchased four Pro Arlo 4 cameras. I am quite satisfied with them. I added an Arlo Chime 2 because the app on my phone will never wake me up at night. I've had a very hard time pairing the chime with my cameras. Arlo support is horrible. You type in your question, and the support will refer you to an article that may help. If you can't solve your problem by reading their related articles, you can start a chat. In my opinion the chat is with a robot. I got nowhere with the chat. I asked my daughter-in-law for help. She was able to add the chime to my app, and pair it with my cameras. Now everything is working great, and I'm ordering four more Arlo Essential cameras.

Utter piece of junk - Impossible to setup.
First time I’ve ever taken time to write a negative review of a product, but this piece of junk richly deserves it. The Chime 2 will absolutely not connect to my phone during setup, no matter what I do. I’ve followed every Arlo “help” article (they were pathetic), spent hours researching suggested workarounds from users (none of them worked), and even created a separate network in my router for this thing (at the suggestion of users who said it wouldn’t connect if there were special characters in the network ID or password) - ALL failed. And from reading user comments this is apparently a widespread problem that has been ongoing for three years, with not even a hint of a solution from Arlo. I give up, and will be sending this thing back.If I could give this zero stars I would. It just doesn’t work. The few positive reviews have to be from people who have also won the lottery, because the absolute refusal of this thing to connect for most people is notorious. I even saw a network engineer who was stumped for weeks and finally gave up and sent it back.

Don’t hesitate to buy this!
There are NO issues with this product - it’s a simple step by step set-up that took me less than 3 minutes to complete. The QR code scan requires no special tricks - yes, it’s tiny, but your phone’s camera can see what you can’t. Simply aim your camera at the tiny QR code - move your camera until the code comes into focus - when the image is sharp and clear, it will scan by itself. Remember, you don’t have to be able to read it - your camera does that for you. Choose your volume level, and pick your chime melody. Arlo couldn’t have made this any easier - I’m so impressed! BTW - I’m not a techie, and I’m in my 70s - this was easy as pie!
