So you are paying for convenience. The end result was actually quite good, with every element turning out well. Just be prepared for a LOT of downtime between layers to get a nice refrigeration on them.

Make those Canadian delicacies at home in just a few steps. There is a time component involved so keep in mind that the cookie like base is baked by itself then cooled and the other layers added afterward. While not home made, the end result is delicious and a highly enjoyable treat. These bars are a unique dessert that will keep your family coming back for seconds.

I do not have any food allergies, but some ingredient in the crust burned my throat and had a bad aftertaste like how horseradish feels when I eat it. Another reviewer recently also mentioned this. I spent a lot of time making this and building all three layers. It was also expensive. Very disappointed that I had to throw it away. I will never buy this again. It did not taste good.

This kit makes a nice size batch and delicious Nanaimo bars. Easier than making them the old way.

Who doesn't like Nanaimo bars? Great product, just a bit expensive when they have to be imported from Canada.

delicious. reminded us of home (vancouver island). its a convient box, but it still takes a long time to make them, but its totally worth it. theyre really good. the instructions are in french & english, and the translation is a bit off... it has you use all of the butter in step 1, but then you find out that you need to use it in steps 2 & 3. it also says that it has 25 servings, but then instructs you to cut the bars into 16 squares. whatever. its very good & we ate it all. i will order it again.
