Best meal prep book
I wish I had this book years ago!! This is the best meal prep book I’ve read and I’ve read a lot! It has so many good recipes with all macros broken down. Which you would expect from a meal prep book. However, Erin has also gone into DETAIL how to put each recipe together to reach your specific goals with instructions on how to prep her recipes for the whole week. Making your meal prep simple and easy to follow! Love this book.

The Perfect Combination
There is an unfathomable variety of books about meals for active people. What makes this one special is what is combined in one space, and what is stripped away. Stern provides a simple and quick segment on macronutrients and calculating caloric needs. She explains how to adjust macronutrients based on whether you are bulking, trimming or maintaining. There are no wasted words artificially boosting page count. Many other books in this area drop a hundred and fifty recipes on the reader, and leave them to fend for themselves. The meals in the book are organized into weekly meal prep and come with a shopping list. Equally as important, she has a single page set of cooking directions for each week, which allow you to prepare all the meals in about an hour total. And just to make sure you aren’t caught unawares, Stern includes a list of kitchen equipment you’ll need to prepare all of her recipes. Bravo Erin Stern. And thank you.

Straightforward meal plan
I appreciate this meal prep book; the recipes are straightforward and generally easy to follow. I like how it gives you a shopping list. However, I’ve noticed that the macro measurements could be more consistent. It would be beneficial if all ingredients were listed in grams to ensure precise portioning rather than some in cups. Additionally, it’s important to pay attention to the cooking instructions, as some grains are meant to be measured after cooking rather than raw. For instance, if it states 3 cups of rice without paying attention to whether it is cooked or raw, you might cook more than needed. Overall, though, it's a solid resource! But have room for some improvement.

Even if you know how to meal prep, this book is a time saver!
I am a formerly competitive bodybuilder and personal trainer. However, life is busy right now, and I needed someone to hand me a list of what to buy and make with the macros already calculated.Thank you, thank you, Erin, for creating this book! There are plenty of options for yummy and healthy foods, with weekly grocery lists. Today, I took a few minutes to review the grocery list, added what I needed to our list, and was off to the store. I have never had anyone else make meal prepping so simple!I am excited about the meals because they are variations of some of my favorite lean-bulking meals. If you are a busy person, especially busy woman, and devoting time at the gym to build your physique, you owe it to yourself to buy this book!

Missing information
This book is a great way to start meal prepping but for someone who is starting out meal prepping for the first time, it’s a good way to start. However, the reason I gave it 3 stars is because there was a lot of missing information here. There are so many questions that need to be answered. It’s not enough information to start meal prepping. The recipes are good. The problem is that I’m still lost. There are so many questions that I have like when do I know when to bulk, cut, or maintain? How do I measure my food? Raw or cooked? What’s the easiest way to track calories and macros? Can our macros change everyday or do we need to follow the same one for a few weeks? how do I measure a pot full of food? How do I measure cooked meals if the raw weight is not present? Do I have to eat the same calories everyday or can I eat low calories one day and high on another? How do I cook a full meal to reach my macros and calories? how do I get flexible with my diet? How do I plan a cheat meal and how do I take a cheat meal? If I make one meal and the rest is left overs, how do I know how many calories are in those left overs? How do I measure those left overs? how do we know how much grams are in that meal? How many fats proteins and carbs? If I plan a meal for tomorrow, how do I know how many calories and macros will be in that meal? How do I incorporate low carb high carb high fat low carb, etc. will it be different everyday? There are so many questions that need to be answered. I’m not saying the book is bad but if I want to learn how to meal prep, there has to be more information on how to start. We may never know how much we are eating unless we know how to measure the food. It doesn’t show you how to use the food scale. It doesn’t tell you if the measurements should be cooked or raw. It doesn’t teach you how to gather up all the ingredients and add them all up. How can we create a meal that fits our macros and calories? We can’t just guess and say “okay this is 300 calories”, when you know it’s not the correct measurement. I think there should be a book created only for how to diet like a bodybuilder or for athletes. Or even for people who want to stay fit, lean, ripped, year round. There should be a book dedicated to all the information we need in order to reach or nutrition goals. It should be called something like “how to diet like a bodybuilder” or “how to eat to look strong and lean year round”. Or even a book called “the complete guide to eating like a bodybuilder”. Something like that. In conclusion, this book is still worth keeping but just need to know more about eating, dieting, meal prepping, counting calories and macros, and eating well to stay strong and lean year round.

Meal Prep
I wanted to save money while enjoying a healthy high protein diet for weight training. The receipts are easy to follow and they taste pretty good as well.
