Love this exercise mat. I wasn't sure at first if I wanted one this large. I do a lot of Apple Fitness+ and this mat is great for a lot of the Pilates, Strength and Core type programs. Glad I have it. It's rugged and comfortable on my knees and elbows.

This mat is absolutely perfect! It is exactly what I was looking for! I recently was looking for a work out mat after having experienced a serious fall after using a cheap mat I bought from Walmart. I injured my back and vowed to buy something much sturdier. The Gorilla Mat delivered in every way possible! I love that it’s large enough to work out on, jump on, do abe exercises and yoga and kickboxing moves and it NEVER moves! It’s incredibly sturdy and sound resistant. It’s comfortable on the hands to do yoga and planks. It even seems to absorb shock from jumping. My house has natural wood floors on a raised foundation. Anyone who has been in a house like this knows that you hear every single footstep. The mat, however, absorbs all the shock from jumping. It’s amazing! No sound at all! I really am in love with my Gorilla Mat! I will definitely be buying the extra large mat when we remodel our house and have a larger workout space! Thank you for this wonderful product!

I was looking for a larger mat for my workouts, and I ran across this brand on Amazon. The price was higher than what I was looking to spend, but purchased it due to the positive reviews.It hasn't disappointed me! It's of high-quality construction, durable (you can use it with shoes on), and is just the right size for my workouts. As others have mentioned, there is a slight odor when you first unbox it. I didn't find it unbearable, however, and the smell completely dissipated within a couple of days.I'm completely satisfied & pleased with this product.

Wow, I don't often write reviews, but literally everything about this mat is absolutely perfect. The mat's feel is the right amount of cushion and flexibility to be able to do anything from stretching to yoga to doing a full kettlebell workout on it. The size (6' x 4') is also big enough to not feel constricted in movement during any exercise, yet compact enough to put it just about anywhere.It rolls up nicely and it lays FLAT after unrolling it relatively quickly without having the edges stay curled-up from being rolled-up too long. It comes with a convenient carry-bag and a couple Velcro straps to keep it secured when rolled.It is now a permanent fixture on the floor of our home gym (which is already a rubber flooring). It also comes with me when I travel (by car) to lay-down and have my workout space wherever I go.

I've had this particular Gorilla Mats mat for just shy of two years, and they are really great for working out! It doesn't slide around much and it does take a beating for a good while. I work out 4-6 days per week doing many different workouts with free weights, medicine balls, yoga, and P90X/Insanity workouts. I am a little hard on these mats because my workouts are hardcore, so take that into account.About a year into owning this version, I noticed it started "flaking" little pieces of the mat off onto the floor when I would roll it up. You can see from these pictures I took today that, over time, it does not retain lifetime durability. Sorry for the dirty floor picture, but it shows the "flaking" of the mat that I am referencing.I previously purchased a Gorilla Mats mat designed for yoga and that also flaked much more, but I assumed that was because I was doing my hardcore workouts on a yoga mat and not using it as designed. My bad, so I ordered one specific to exercise that was more heavy duty. Unfortunately, this did not solve my problem long term, as I am already in the market for a new exercise mat just under two years later.

I bought this to replace a cheaper mat that was falling apart within the first few days of use. Well worth the extra money. It’s durable, easy to clean, lays flat, and doesn’t smell. I’m very satisfied.

My new workout space is a carpeted room and my old puzzle piece style foam mats didn’t work at all. I’m happy to say that this mat is perfect!! Doesn’t slip or bunch up. Grippy top surface too (the foam ones could be a little slippery). Love the dense support so you don’t feel like you sink in, but it feels great on your spine or pelvis when doing exercises on your back or belly.This is a great size too! Big enough for an individual to workout on, but small enough to roll up and store easily in a closet when guests come!
