Q: Is the base full iron? dose it slipper proof?

It is a heavy iron base. It does not slip at all. I have two of them and love them.

Q: I put edison led e26 bulb in but way too bright, the bulb is 6.5w & 450lumens. i want it as a nightlight,,what bulb would work for a much lower bright

Gee, for that I'm not sure but the seller was very informative when I had questions so that might be your best option send the question to him. I just simply love ours with the standard 3way bulbs we bought. The third tap is our nite light. Sorry I couldn't help more~Teri

It is available on Amazon. Vintage Edison bulb and the seller is Gordon and Bond. This was the only lamp I found at the time of purchase which could hold 60watts bulb! It is perfect for bedside table!
