Outstanding quality and value for my 02 mercury mountaineer
Price and name recognition had me on the fence in purchasing this unit , even for a secondary car.The positive reviews on youtube pushed me over the top and took a chance and im so glad I did .Even though I had to buy three mounting kits to find a close fit and still had to file and sand to get the unit fit the height of mounting bracket I am pleased with results . Looks and performs fantastically.I wish i knew how to install this stuff If so I would have saved over 400. Bucks including installing the camera.Over all, I love this head unit .the wifi antenna for the carplay is stronger than my kenwood dmx950 It didnt drop at all during a road trip from the bay area to the central coast. All the features about the video streaming and inputs are flipping awesome and make this a giant when it comes to utility. Weve only had for two months but works flawlessly. If this Atoto lasts for at least 3-4 years I would consider that a excellent purchase in upgrading a 20yr old truck .

Amazing for the price
I got this on sale for about $80 and have zero complaints. There were a few other ones I was looking at, but ultimately, I decided to go with this one as it seemed to look sleeker with a thinner bezel. Wiring was no issue; everything was labeled correctly and easy to understand. The wireless CarPlay immediately connected to my phone with zero problems and worked flawlessly. The screen can be laggy when in CarPlay mode, but I can deal with it for the price. I can't say about anything long-term, but it has no had issues in the past few weeks. I will buy another for my other car soon.

Spotty performance. Consistent repeatable problems.
I bought this for use with wireless Android Auto, primarily for maps navigation. While I can get AA and Maps to work after taking certain steps (like restarting the car after AA does not connect to the head unit the first time), I shouldn't have to go through this process to get a new product to work as advertised.I have have had 4 exchanges with customer service and on the forth time finally got them to send me the updated firmware package. It made no improvement. It seems to take about 30-48 hours in order to get a response. Most of the responses have been telling me to restart the head unit via a pin hole on the front of it and clear data by doing a factory reset. I suppose I'm at Tier 1 support, because most of what I've been told is cut and paste of general troubleshooting stuff. I will update this review if I get anywhere with tech support. These are the issues I've repeatedly run into and any work around I've discovered on my own (with no substantive help from customer support)1. Wireless Android Auto will connect only sometimes. What seems to be the problem is that the head unit does not generate the necessary wifi network. The ONLY way I have been able to get it to work when it glitches like this (which is more than half the time) is to to restart the radio by turning the car off and on. There is no way to hard reset the head unit without inserting a pin in the reset hole. (This is according to customer support.) The device should really have a button that you can hold down to make it reboot. The power button just toggles the screen off and on. From what I can tell, the head unit first connects via Bluetooth to the phone. The head unit should then to turn on a Wifi network which AA can then connects to. The problem is that the Wifi network doesn't always turn on after Bluetooth connects. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when this problem occurs or why.2. When Android Auto does connect to both Bluetooth and Wifi, Maps was not being displayed unless Maps was already running on the phone or had been running on the phone recently. When Maps chooses not to display, I had turn my wifi on the phone off and back on. Once it has connected and had run for a while, I was able to leave the car and get back in and maps would start back up. It seems to have been a problem with the initial use of Maps which was a consistent problem. I believe that I fixed this issue by turning the power setting for Maps from a power savings mode to "always on." I don't recall exactly where that setting is, but I think its in battery management somewhere. Since I made this change, when AA does decide to connect, Maps is available.2. There is a clicking in the audio at low volume. You don't really notice it if you have something playing, but if you have your Bluetooth music paused, you hear the clicking through the speakers. It goes away if you turn the volume up about halfway. I have determined that this noise is only there when the wifi is connected. With only the bluetooth connected, there is no noise. If the radio is on, there is no noise. As soon as Wifi connects, you get the noise. You can watch the wifi network connect on the phone and hear the noise begin at the exact same time. After 3 email exchanges, the company admitted they are aware of the problem and working for a solution. I'm not expecting one.3. I could not figure out how to use only the phone or Bluetooth without AA connecting and taking control of calls and audio. I figured this out. On the main (non AA) screen, there is a phone icon wiht a couple of curved lines. This seems to be a settings page. At the bottom toward the right of the screen is a bluetooth icon. Clicking on that pulls up a settings screen. In that screen is a toggle for connecting AA upon the head unit establishing a Bluetooth connection. By moving that slider, I was able to keep the phone from automatically connecting to AA (when it would randomly connect). There is also a toggle for Bluetooth on and off on this page. Now, there is NO WAY to turn off AA once its has connected to the wifi. I've read this is an AA thing and that AA removed the button to exit AA once connected. The work around that I have found works is to turn off wifi from my phone. As long as I don't have the "connect to AA" slider enabled, I am then able to use the Bluetooth functions of the head unit (phone and audio) without going through AA.4. I have found no way to mirror the screen on the phone to the head unit through AutoLink or similar app. The radio is advertised as having Mirror Link, but apparently you can only do this through the wired USB connection once you exit from Android Auto. At this point, my phone connects wirelessly and I am unable to disconnect. I've tried a number of different apps including the one they recommend, but no dice. The farthest I've gotten with this (after finally figuring out how to keep the phone from automatically going into AA) is getting to a screen that wants to download an app that my phone says not to trust from some Chinese domain. I have not downloaded this app since I have no idea what it is or what it will do once on my phone.4. The skip track buttons on audio players did not work. They acted only as fast forward buttons. I don't know if that's Android auto or if it is this head unit, but when I am connected to the head unit, if I try to skip a track on the screen or from my phone, it acts only as a fast forward button. After all of the resets I did to the phone's AA app (deleting cars and clearing caches) and resetting the head unit, some of the audio apps will now skip tracks. Some will not.I think that this thing should work right out of the box without me having to come up with my own solutions and work arounds. Any solutions I have been able to implement has been as a result of my own research and experimentation and not through tech support. If the firmware updates (dated April 2024) that I finally got out of customer service work have not improved any of these problems. If I want to keep this unit, I think I'm going to have to install a switch on the power feed wire so that I can cut power and make it reboot without sticking a pin in the reset hole or turning the car off.Other people say that customer service has been good. I don't consider a bunch of cut and paste responses good customer service. The issues I have seem to have come up before. You would think the product would be ready for use out of the box or at least contain detailed instructions on how to make it work. Its my first AA head unit and I've got to believe that there are better units out there.

Can’t beat the price!
Pretty much what you would expect from a cheap double din! Apple CarPlay only works with my phone plugged in and sound quality is not the greatest but pretty happy overall!

Good product for a great price.
I love the wireless CarPlay, it works very well. I’ve only had installed for a few days so I’m not sure on the longevity of it but it was easy to install and looks good.

Works for the most part
It is a nice product and you can’t get better for the price. I just had to get a replacement unit because my first device stopped working. It was bit of a hassle to replace it but otherwise it’s good!

awesome, inexpensive touchscreen radio
I had been rocking with my car radios only since the day i bought it, no bluetooth, no aux, nada. So i never got to listen to the music i wanted. Finally i can! I got a great deal on this for mothersday so i had to snag it. Ive been super happy with my purhcase so far. It works with and was easy to install- you will most likely need a space filler bracket/conversion kkit ut they are like $12-the only issues ive had is that if I dont exit out of google maps before turning the car off when i return the screen will be locked on google maps., al you have to do is turn it on and off manually and its fix, im sure its something they will(or have) fixed in an upgdate

This radio is one of the best things i’ve done
The media could not be loaded. I got this on sale for $97 and I have never had an issue with it. Wiring it was very straight forward. I was looking at so many radios like SONY and Alpine. But I didn’t feel like spending $400+. Not to mention a lot of those didn’t have wireless carplay. This radio automatically connects to my phone and is never a headache. I love using Waze and Spotify on it. Not to mention it makes my speakers sound so much better vs my old Pioneer head unit. I’m honestly so glad I gambled with this budget friendly head unit. Couldn’t be more happy with it. Will update if I have any problems with it
