Another great Lego product!
While this set brings many piwces, my 13 yr old loved it! He's a big fan of Dreamzzz & enjoys building these sets. He finds it easy to assemble because he's been building Lego sets for years. For me, not so much. I don't have the patience :)

We got this for my daughter's birthday, she loves cats, legos and enjoys watching the show. She enjoyed building it and added it to her collection.

Cool Cat Owl with two choices of build! Also includes my new favorite minifig!
I build a lot of Lego and while this set isn’t perfect, I feel that one of the minifigs in this set is perfect! The build is fairly easy. Never found myself having to backtrack. It’s a fairly quick build as well with minimal stickers. However, they provide two choices of build after a certain point, to choose either owl wings or peacock style feathers. I went with the latter. So there is rebuild-ability. I do think 9+ is appropriate because of the amount of Technic parts here that require stronger finger strength in kids. The face of the cat owl is a print, with all other graphic design appearing on stickers. Really like the parts used for both the medium azure blue and lime green trans marbled feathers. Now the minifigs seem fairly true to what I have seen of the source media. However one of thes minifigs stands above any other in the series in my opinion, and that is the Knight Hunter! His anime inspired look is amazing, from the scarf blowing in the wind, to the dark wizard style hat with a printed yellow eye! He has leg, torso, and back printing, and his minimalist and mysterious face print really makes for an amazing looking minifig. I would say we’re in January and we already have a contender for fig of the year.As for the other figs and the side build they all have something entertaining going on. My only issue is that the bow and arrow does not seem to function as described in the manual or on the box. Feels like my bow is defective as the arrow slides out of the bow easily on its own.I would say this a purchase if you are a fan of the show. I have actually only seen one episode with my daughter. Seeing the design of the Night Hunter though and also the recent Sandman in another new Dreamzzz set, I want to revisit the show and theme!Overall a cool set that makes me want to dive into the source material and man does it have a front runner of a minifig of the year!

Great Set! Few Flaws…
My five-and-a-half-year-old son declared this his favorite LEGO set after completing the build. The characters and cat-owl are so fun and colorful they standout in our LEGO collection. I have a few nitpicks about the playability and stability of the cat-owl, though.First, I want to talk about the build experience. It was fantastic! I call it the LEGO difference. The set is recommended for children 9+ but my 5-and-a-half-year old built it with very little help. When building competitive brand’s products rated 8+, my sons just can’t handle it. LEGO paces the build perfectly between bags and utilizes colors to really enhance the building experience. Every step is considered and the extra effort really makes a difference. I especially noticed the “LEGO difference” during this build. My son only needed help attaching the feathers at the end.Secondly, the set has massive appeal. When looking through LEGO’s January 2024 catalog both my sons were especially drawn to the cat-owl. The set is filled with creativity and character. The Minifigures and accessories are great, and the cat-owl is vibrant. All around great stuff. My stability and playability concerns are minimal. My son decided to build the tail plume rather than wings. Prior to putting on the plume, the cat-owl was super posable and could be positioned like a cat. However, the tail plume is so heavy that it limits how posable the cat-owl is. The tail plume itself is a little too prone to breakage during play. These may not be issues if my son chose to build the wings. Finally, the shooting action of the bow and arrow is hard to activate and disappointing when activated.Overall, the set has high appeal and an awesome build experience, but some minor flaws. I’d give it 4.5 stars.

For Fans of Lego Dreamzzz
My kids watch all Lego Dreamz series and continue watching them again and again all the time and this set is a must for them to play and enjoy making stories . A little pricey like all legos but you pay for quality and no missing pieces ( with other brands we always have something missing and can’t finish building).

Is Cat-Owl the Purrfect Build
Another solid set from Lego that you will find has the great quality of pieces and attention to detail you have come to expect from them. This is from their newer DreamZzz series, which can be can be viewed online. This Cat-Owl set is marketed as a two in one build set, but in reality there are three ways you can configure the build. First would be building the cat and leaving it as a “traditional” cat and then there are the two advertised builds which is the actual “Cat-Owl”, which is a flying cat, and then the alternate version is a Cat-Peacock.In this case the alternate builds are not major differences, as they keep the foundation of the cat for both. The set also comes with three mini figures, including a very elaborate Night Hunter, and two micro figures (about have the size of the mini figures). The three mini figures each come with some accessories, such as weapons and two have a little vehicle of sorts.I was not familiar with this series prior to getting the set for review, and after researching it a bit, I can why I wasn’t as it does seem to be marketed more towards younger kids, but all together the build set has what you would expect from a Lego set around this price. Size of build, the figures, small accessories, and great quality.
