Living in West Texas, it gets hot, real hot and we don't get rain on a regular basis so every summer it is a battle to keep trees quenched in-between the showers. Very easy to set up with the zipper, and can connect bags with the zippers for larger trees. Just started using them but can tell the trees are liking the solid drenching. I don't have enough for all the trees but can get them all drenched over three days taking a half hour each morning to move the bags and refill. So much better than running a sprinkler or having to move a hose every 10 minutes from one tree to another. Definitely going to get some more so not having to move bags around but still well worth it.

First of all, the product is unavailable now. I am lucky enough to have bought 4 rings. I hope it will come back soon.It took 8 or 10 hours to drain. Yet some reviewers complained about it being empty within 2 hours. One reviewer said it should last for a whole week. For the former, I suspect product defect. For the later, the expectation is incorrect.One problem with this product is the small filling hole. My husband took a 5' hose and cut the metal mouth. Then we insert the rubber hose into the hole completely.Another problem is slight difficulty to close the tab on the filling hole. Be prepared to get wet, when you press the tab since some water will shoot out.Finally, it's not easy to empty the ring. We did not want to leave the rings out over night, and there was still some water in them. It took two people to drain them - one holding the ring high, the other keeping the tab open, as it has the tendency of close (which is good).I am lucky to have a relatively level yard. I suspect the water will not drain well when the ring is placed on a steep slope.And I wish there were more holes. Is it tested that two holes are enough?

I have purchased 18 of these for the many new shrubs/trees I planted this year. It is nice only having to spend a few hours a week filling these bags rather than moving a hose around and it taking all day.One note, the orifice on the bags is not large enough to fot a garden hose into.. I took a small piece of 7/16 PVC pipe and glued on a fitting to screw onto the hose. I can put the pipe into the opening and fill the bags without getting soaking wet.

Our trees are on a slight hill and these have just two spouts for the water to empty. What happens is only about 60% can actually drain and the remaining water is pooled in a spot from gravity and unable to drain due to the location of the spouts. Also, the filling holes are difficult to connect a hose.

Drained in a few hours. Only 2 drip nibs so no 360 watering. Extreme nuisance to fill: full-hole smaller than standard bare hose end; press-down cap, no screw-on so water gushes out while closing ☹️

The new tree along the driveway were withering with the excessive heat so my gardener told me to get “gator bags”. However, the were unsightly and garish. I found these donut ones, installed them and love the fact that they blend right in with the mulch. They last more than a week before being needed to refill and they actually work. The trees perked up and I don’t have to rush home to water them in hot weather any longer. Great price too. The gator bags were almost twice as much.

We lost two trees on our sidewalk due to lack of water though we watered throughout the summer. With this product, we'll be able to make sure our plant is watered properly for an extended period of time. The product came well packaged and very quickly. Due to the design, installation was very quick and easy. We received two rings so we'll use one on our new sidewalk tree and one on our smaller tree in the back yard.

These work well around bushes. Using an open hose to fill vs a sprayer makes it easiest to fill.
