Durable and a great value
I purchase this latch for my chicken coop that I built. It was easy to install, works perfectly, and matches the style I was going for. I will be purchasing another one for my fence gate.

Easy to install, works well...
This gate latch was easy to install and works flawlessly. Now I can close my gate after exiting the back yard and not worry about dogs escaping. To re-enter the back yard, a simple pull on the wire loop disengages the latch. Easy peasy!

It works pretty well
I have about four of these types of gate locks now. That includes this purchased item. The key to the whole lock assembly for me is the simple pull wire. It works perfectly for us on our wooden screen door that wouldn't stay shut. Now we have no high wind related issues with the door opening and closing by itself. For the price and quality it can't be beat.

Good latch - take care of pin for cable lock
Works as described - I like the spring action. But we dropped the little (very little!!) pin for the cable lock and could not find it. Ended up crimping the cable to keep in place.

The Hillmaster Gate Latch seems to be a good product. It is easy to install and made well. Price is also reasonable.
