Can you use this for the eye area?

No I would not use this particular C serum on the eye area as it is a strong Vitamin C solution, and it may cause irritation on that sensitive skin!. Don't get it in your eyes!!!

How do I know when it is not good anymore?

This product is good up to one year after it's opened.
