My original (over 20 years old) hard-wired smoke detectors started beeping a lot in the middle of the night. Never during the day! I did not want hard-wired smoke detectors any longer, so I opted for these tried and true battery smoke detectors. Super easy install. Tests great. Wife burned a piece of toast in kitchen and both smoke detectors (one located about 25 feet away and the other about 40 feet) worked as they should! There was barely any smoke if at all, but you could definitely smell that burnt toast aroma.

Very easy to mount as well as remove battery when it’s time to replace. They look clean and sit flush to the wall perfectly. They are small enough to fit over my door frame. Good quality, would recommend!

I have used these exclusively in my home and they will alarm as advertised . They also give off warning beeps when the battery gets low on charge. Battery included with these smoke alarms. I have one wired smoke alarm but power surges have damaged the wired 120v unit in the past so the battery models are not affected by power surges . Batteries will last about 18 months . Most people die in house fires from smoke so smoke alarms are very cheap insurance to awaken you at the slightest hint of smoke giving you time to escape .

I bought used ones and they are still in excellent condition super easy to install
