Great first harness.
I don't like harnesses as opposed to collars. They are terrible for training and make it nearly impossible to effectively communicate with the dog through tugs on the leash. Some breeds, like dachshunds, require them and that can't be gotten around. This particular product, in extra small, is a good first harness for a puppy. It adjusts down to a size that can restrain a very small body while remaining slightly loose, and is easy to fine tune. The dachshund I use it on is blue, therefore susceptible to hair loss because of especially weak follicles; the sleeve type harnesses where the back and chest are fully encased in fabric tend to wear the fur off in those areas, and this one of course does not.It can be a bit of a puzzle if the straps become improperly situated on the connecting metal rings, but brains need exercise too. The webbing from which it's made is sturdy, though it could benefit from some reflective material. The clips are, as always, the weak spot, assuredly getting weaker as the harness size reduces, but the double D-rings offer assurance that your pup won't be going rogue in the event of failure. All said and done, I rate this product very highly - especially for the price.

Great colors!
The perfect color for our Golden puppy! Fully adjustable so it can grow with him and it must be comfortable because he adjusted very quickly! We purchased two colors and the boy had reflective material which was nice. The green does not. The canvas material is strong and high quality and makes walks a breeze! It is very easy to put on and sturdy enough to keep him under control if he pulls on walks.

Lightweight, easy to put on, and safe for my dog.
My Yorkie is a service dog in training (and an ESA) and has a vest to indicate that but I wanted a regular harness that was light and airy for her during these hot summer months. Also, she is a swimmer and her "official vest" is not made for that. I really agonized over which harness to buy because my dog seems to be able to slip out of all the harnesses I buy for her. Since we were going to the mountains, I needed to be sure she would be completely safe. I decided to buy this step in harness for ease of use and because of the fact that it had a lot of adjustability and seemed to safe. I bought size small for my 14 pound Yorkie and it fits great with room to adjust for weight gain or loss.I strongly recommend checking the adjustments every time or every other time you put this on your dog. I did notice that the chest area seemed to get a little looser every once in a while. That could just be normal variations of my dog's size - when she's eaten a big meal and when she hasn't - but I now do a quick check to be sure the harness is tight enough but not TOO tight. My dog measures 18" in chest girth and 14" around the neck. I actually may have been able to use the Xsmall but this one is doing the job. We were up in the mountains for five days and she wore the harness almost all the time with no incidences at all. If she would have wiggled out of it or somehow gotten loose, a bear or other wild animal would have loved to have had her for lunch so it was imperative that she was safe - and she was.Although I still feel like there should be a second strap around her belly, this harness is working well. It was put though the test for sure. Molly swam with it on, ran, hiked, climbed a mountain, hung out on the grass, and even napped with the harness on. It appears she is comfortable in it since she makes no effort to escape from it and sleeps just fine with it on when she naps. I feel this harness is a good one. I may still indulge my helicopter dog mom instincts and get one with a double belly strap but right now, Molly is at the lake swimming and running around with her harness on and it is secure and lightweight. Very pleased. I removed a star because I did note that the adjustments seemed to shift a bit now and then.

Great Thin X-small Dog Harness
I got a few of these; I love that it's soft & very thin for dogs in x-small & small; it's the correct size for those under 12 pounds. I have a Shih Tzu & a Mini Lhasa Apso. My Lhasa is a tomboy & very active; I wash the harnesses once a month in lingerie bag in the washing machine. Always comes out clean; I have also had to do the quick wash with soap & sink. I also got the striped fabric ones with their name. Also washes well but the name flips the tag. Tag is also durable which helps me know I am putting the harness on correctly that I sized them. Overall, it's a great harness for the Canine petite set.
