Great little pedal!!
So this thing is great! I wanted it because it's small enough to mount on my PedalTrain 2 pedal board. I had been using a VOX ToneLab SE, but that meant I had to carry the ToneLab and my regular pedal board to gigs. I'm all about carrying less gear! heheh! Seriously, though, this little pedal is awesome! It takes some time to learn how to create the sounds that are right for you, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy! Basically, I went though every single preset, wrote down the ones that I liked, marking if they were clean tones, distorted, etc. Then I went back and picked several of those to tweak to my own liking. I came up with about 6 user presets that I use during live shows. Only downside is that you can only scroll up and down through your presets. The ToneLab had 4 foot switches, so I could jump from preset 1 to 4 in one press of a foot switch. That's not possible on the Stomplab. So keep the tones you use in one song grouped together. I usually don't use more than two in a song, so it's not that bad, really. That's my only con so far, and I've been using this for several months. If you're interested, I'm playing it through a VOX AC30C2. For some smaller stages, at some casino gigs, I'll go direct without an amp. That's another reason I got this pedal. It'll be great for certain gigs where an amp takes up too much space, and would be too loud for the way the venue is set up. There is also a setting that allows you to select if you are playing direct into the board, or if you are playing it though an amp. You can alos pick 3 or 4 different amp styles, so you can set it for the type of amp you are playing through. That's definitely a cool feature!I would definitely recommend the VOX Stomplab IIG for any guitarist that is looking for tons of tone and effects, packed into a smaller package. For the price, this thing is a no-brainer! Great for playing live, recording, or just practicing. Hope this review helped you!I've attached couple of pics, including one of the Stomplab on my board, so you can see how it compares in size to other pedals.

Great unit for the price, take your time exploring and tweaking it, it is worthwhile.
Very nice multi efx/amp simulator pedal. It fits just about anywhere. Due to its small size it may feel as not sturdy enough but it is a very solid unit. So far I've been able to tone match most of my Rocktron presets. The expression pedal will need getting used to but is quite good. Don't expect full scale programmability and multi function control with this expression pedal, at the most, one function may be assigned to it. However choose the right function, and you will get the most bang for the buck. Love the Uvibe/rotary/multichorus efx and the amps simulator. On a live situation you will need to tweak the amps parameters for the unit to sound decently, as it is quite easy to forget that at home with your amp you will sound wonderful but live in a mixed musicians setup it will not sound great until you eq and configure drive and gain for most amps. If you don't do it you may have a horribly shrill and aggressive sound. Taking the time to tweak it, preferably with a spectrum analyzer will pay off.

For the price a great versatile pedal.
I bought this pedal because for one I wanted a cheap pedal to get into the world of pedals and effects and I figured a cheap versatile effects pedal was the best place to start. I have seen many vox products that had great reviews and seemed like overall great products but had read back and forth reviews on this one. As with some modelling amps some of the effects or models can sound bad. But if you adjust them right you can turn all of the presets into unique effects or amp models and with 100 presets that is 100 potential effect channels plus the 20 custom use ones if you would rather leave all the presets as are though some really need some adjusting IMO. But since you can edit any of the presets that is not an issue. Reading the manual that comes with it certainly helps but once you get the basic layout this pedal is perfectly simply complex. It coming with its own power suply is a huge bonus, I have yet to even put batteries into it since I just play at home or occasionally outside with an extension cord. Hope this review is helpful.

Missing the power supply
They did not send the power supply with the unit like it was listed other than that it would have been great

Does a TON for the Price
For a couple years now, I've had a Tech 21 Power Engine, which is just a powered cabinet for guitar. I love how simple it is, how light it is, and the way it sounds. I needed a way to get some cool sounds out of it but I'm also a young guy and my budget isn't so big. ENTER THE VOX Stomplab IIG.I'll admit, it's not as nice as its older brothers, but for what I paid ($89 + free shipping) it blows me away. It's so small it can fit in the back of my amp (although I don't recommend putting it there because of the magnets involved) and every time someone sees/hears me wailing on the expression pedal as a wah, they have to stop and watch. The pedal is less than half the size of a full size Vox wah, but if you put your heel at the bottom and let your foot hang over the top it becomes very easy to control and sounds like a Vox should. The build is solid and the interface is simple. It took me about 15 minutes to wrap my head around the way it works, but after that, I was making and saving tones constantly.Overall, it's been great. Changed the way I thought of packing up for a gig. Just get my little cabinet and my Stomplab and I'm ready to go. It produces the tones, it has the pedal, I can tune with it between songs... It's really perfect for what I do.

Great effects, well built and simple to use - you can't beat it!
Amazing effects at a great price! Bought to use for the wah and distortion, but the phaser, chorus and other effects are amazing! Sound quality is great, harmonic distortion is noticeable, but not terrible (anyone who has used guitar pedals knows this is inevitable). The expression pedal is too small to really use as a wah (at least for my foot), but I will just run my Morley or my other Vox inline before the Stompbox. I also like the 1/4" balanced, stereo output, so I can plug headphones directly into the unit and play without an amp. For the money, you can't beat it! Highly recommended!
