Very cool addition to my collection
Great addition to any collection and a neat way to introduce kids to historic F1. This car was extremely innovative. The twin front axles and small tires were an aerodynamic feature. This reduced the frontal area of the car and thus wind resistance. The additional of the second front axle was to achieve the same tire contact patch as a standard F1 tire. It worked exactly as intended but the tires were only made for this car so Goodyear made very few compounds for it because no one else ran that size a tire. This became the issue. They had a hard time getting the car to work well under changing weather and track conditions because they simply didn’t have enough tire choices. Then rules changes eliminated the concept.
