Excellent Performance and Flexibility
This tool offers great performance, especially with its 15° angled sanding belt, which makes it perfect for shaping and polishing knives. The angle provides a more efficient and precise sanding experience, especially when working on detailed edges and surfaces. One of the best features is the adjustable speed with 7 settings. This allows me to choose the right speed for different materials, from metal to wood, making it a versatile tool for a variety of tasks. The sander is also compact and portable, which is great for my workshop as it doesn't take up much space. Despite its size, it has a powerful motor that handles even tough materials without any issue, ensuring smooth performance throughout the work process.

Buff it up! Great compact solution!
I didn't buy this for knife making or sharpening. But it works great for that! Well sharpening anyway, that's all I can vouch for.I bought this because I restore drums (and some other stuff). Restoration of drums is similar to dealing with other old metals. Lots of screws/bolts, lugs, chrome pieces, aluminum, stainless, rods, clamps, hoops etc etc etc. I bought this for buffing those small parts and hoops has gotten much easier! I didn't want to use a heavy duty grinder, I wanted something a little less cumbersome. I also didn't want overkill. I don't want to constantly switch out my grinding wheels for buffing wheels. This is now my dedicated buffing station (which gets right out of the way too). The shine I get on hoops is great! And when people are buying 40year old drums and see all that shine, they sell themselves. So glad I bought this. It's much quieter than my regular bench grinder. Easy and fast to adjust speed (7 settings?) I didn't like using my bench grinder for buffing. Just too fast and dangerous. Lightweight, so I can just throw it on my tool cart and go to work. With everything it comes with it really is a great value. Sandpaper belts ain't cheap!

Decent Tool for DIY, but Could Be Better
I’ve been using the mini belt sander for a few DIY projects, and it’s been okay, but not perfect. The 7 adjustable speeds are a nice touch, and the 15° angle works well for knife making. It’s compact and powerful enough for smaller tasks, and the belt changes are fairly easy. However, it does have some drawbacks. The sander can get a bit noisy, especially at higher speeds, and I’ve noticed that it’s not as smooth as I expected when working on metal. It’s great for small projects, but if you’re looking for something that can handle more heavy-duty work, this might not be the best option. Overall, it’s decent for light DIY and knife making, but not the best in terms of power and smoothness.

Tiny but mighty
First off, this is not a belt sander for large jobs! This is PERFECT for small jobs like knife sharpening, polishing, pen making and other applications that don't require a large shop sander. This is great size that will absolutely fit in ANY work space. For size reference, look at my photos and notice the size of the charging block to the actual sander unit. But don't let the size of this thing fool you! It's built solid out of quality materiel and comes with everything you need! I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of sanding belts that came in the box. There are 5 different grits of belts (X30 in total!), a huge block of knife sharpening wax, polishing wheel, and a hard grinding wheel. The feet on the base of the unit are made of non slip rubber feet and the on/off switch is located just under the motor. I was pleased to find there was not much vibration out of this, especially with it's size. Great purchase for crafters, woodworkers or shop owners.Cons: Basic directions, no customer support to be found, no aftermarket parts other than belts, most likely will have to use with extension cord, no way to bolt to table, plate fixed at 15 degrees, motor gets hot after extensive use (35+ min run time).Overall, this is a great purchase to have around any shop or craft room. It takes up very little space and is easy to store. It would make a great gift for any crafter or shop enthusiast. I would purchase this again!
