The cushioning is not so soft not so firm.- I bought this product to support the lower back and to help with proper posture.- I first used it in the house with my computer chair and dining room chair. It aligned well with both chairs and provided adequate support for the lower back. However, the proper posture is something you need to consciously maintain –- I next used it in my car. It fit well with the seat as well .Summary - good quality product, works well with computer and regular office chairs etc. thanks amazon at lowest price compare to any other brand a compared.
