Lives up to the "Performance" designation
I wanted to take some time to give my thanks to HFP Fuel Systems for manufacturing a great product while providing great communication and customer service. I purchased a fuel pump for my '97 Nissan Maxima last year that HFP helped with an installation issue I was having with the strainer. HFP immediately sent a couple of alternative strainers in which actually both happened to fit my application perfectly. I was even more amazed by the bump in power I felt with the new pump. I know that a simple pump would not be the first place to try and find power but I'm eager to test out my theory that this pump is responsible for the gains I'm feeling and will likely try another vehicle to install one in. So far I can attest that HFP delivered on the performance part of their description with the immediate, strong and constant throttle response that I had never felt before. For those Nissan VQ30DE fans this practically negated the lag in power around the 3-4000 RPM range I had unfortunately grown accustomed to. . .Granted it was not an OEM fit but the supplied sleeves made it fit more secure than what came from the factory with added benefits of vibration dampening with the rubber sleeve and some custom trimming. As the description indicates I would have saved time if I had sent a picture of my strainer so it's probably best to communicate your set up for them to help match your system better. As a budding entrepreneur I'm eager to get into the automotive industry and am glad I found HFP this early in my business' life and look forward to them providing a quality product for years to come and will be happy to post yearly updates.

Reasonable price, with reliable performance
Works very well. As the pump is about three quarters of an inch longer than OEM, I removed the curved "bottom" of the pump bracket with a Dremel tool. I then used dual clamps on each end of the rubber hose that connects the pump and filter, this allows the pump to hang in place and has nothing to vibrate against. Being that the rubber hose is the only connection, that further eliminates any chance of vibration and it will never come lose. The pump is totally silent when installed in this manner and enables my vehicle to accelerate as designed. The wiring harness provided in the kit was identical as OEM and wasn't required, neither was the rubber sleeve or base because the pump hangs free using my method of installation.

Pump turned on for a second and will not work at all
Put the pump in and had to cut the plastic on my sending unit to get it to fit then wired it all in and it came on for a second and will not come back on even if power is out to it

Crown Victoria 2010 Police Interceptor
It worked and it runs now. I pulled out the fuel pump assembly and removed the electric fuel pump off of the assembly and soldered on this one to the factory harness. Zip Tied the wire to the assembly and reinstalled on 8/4/2021. I've taken it on the highway and no issues so far. Although i had some trouble attaching the fuel pump filter sock. It has a weird retaining clip and it would of been so much more simple to just use a bolt to hold it into place. I trimmed the edges of the plastic piece so i could slide the retainer clip onto the plastic nub. I tried many time to do it without trimming but it didn't work. Hopefully that stays in place as it is a key part to keeping the pump running smoothly. I should of just used epoxy instead of the retainer clip in all honesty. Overall it seems to work fine.

Good deal and efficient.
Lessons learned, this comes with its own plug and needs said plug to work...ever. There was a few reviews that touched on this not working and I was nearly one of them except when I looked at the box more carefully I found a plug. I put the plug into the pump and Click, OHHHHH! The blue wire is + and the the black is - on an XB1. I did do the modification to the pump casing and the plastic housing to make it all clamp back together. I did not have a Dremel but got very creative with a needle nose pliers and a razor blade. Just make sure to leave enough of the pump and clamps to actually work. I put it together and took it apart about four times. It is about a third faster over my stock pump and makes a WHIRR sound like a coffee grinder I tend to only notice as I'm shutting off the motor. Its rated at 14.4v on a bench not sloshing around in a tank. I did have to upgrade my ground after the install. I was replacing a few things in the process anyways. I read this pump would work well enough when paired with larger injectors and a remapped ecu. I'd buy it again. Not bad for the price.

Just installed this fuel pump on a 2011 Crown Vic Police interceptor and I'm very satisfied. This was my first time changing a fuel pump. No need to drop the fuel tank thanks to the many YouTube videos on how to do this. I did have to use the wiring that's with this kit to rewire and crimp the 2 wires going directly into the pump itself. Started right up and running well. 5 stars for sure. I was happy with this fuel pump that I purchased another one and installed it today on my 98 ford ranger. After removing the truck bed backwards out of the way installing this pump was very easy with absolutely no cutting wires. This pump plugged directly into the trucks factory wiring. So I highly recommend this fuel pump if your a ford man like myself

If you like a clean simple install
If you like a clean simple install, this pump may not be for you. I had to cut the factory plug off of the original pump solder and heat shrink the wiring of the new to the old then I had to modify the bracket to make sure the pump will not come off and hang from the fuel line and wiring. Since I brought up the fuel line, it was cut with a grinder and full of rubber dust and debre, the kind of things you do not need in an EFI system. The spring steel clip that comes with the fuel pickup screen is inadequate to retain the screen with any security, I reused the factory clip. That is about it. For the price and if you don't mind tinkering, go ahead.
