My favorite workplace romance!!
I’m pretty sure every time I read a book by Naomi I proclaim it is my favorite of all her books, and this was no different. I literally could not put it down, and read it from cover to cover in one day. If I’ve said it once I’ll say it again, absolutely no one writes better representation of mental health struggles and healing better than Naomi. Both of Ozzy and James suffer from different traumas and Naomi writes their struggles in such a poetic and beautiful way that you can relate to the characters on a visceral level, but she also writes their healing in a way that doesn’t make it feel rushed and you feel like you are healing with them. I am normally not someone who enjoys reading character driven stories, but Naomi makes me fall in love with these characters immediately that I am positively enthralled in their stories and then you look up and realize you’ve lost 3 hours reading them without noticing. The building of their relationship was so organic and I just love both Ozzy and James so much. Honestly Ozzy may just be my new top book boyfriend. The tension and spice in this book almost set me on fire. I will never get over how Naomi writes her smut scenes because they are just next level delicious. Basically this review is a love letter to Naomi thanking her for giving me yet another banger.

On My Mind
I didn’t know I needed this book until I heard of it on Booktok. Then I couldn’t get it out of my head. And now that I have read it? I could easily read a hundred more books about line cooks and never get bored, especially by this author. Not only did this book easily grab my attention, but it also wouldn’t let it go. I read about 60% before I couldn’t keep my eyes open and finished the rest as soon as I woke up. If you need a sign to pick up this book, take my review as one and get started!P.S. Definitely have a snickers bar nearby when reading.

I NEED MORE
I am so mad that i finished this book. I honestly do not know how to cope with it ending. I LOVED the romance, the banter, the playfulness and energy between the main characters. The writing sucked me in like James’ you know what sucked up that snickers bar. I have been in such a reading slump all year, finishing maybe 1-2 books a month. I finished this within 24 hours. Happy reading, friends. This one is more than worth it

Read in One Day!
I read this book in one day, if that gives you any indication of how much I loved it. I absolutely adored Ozzy & James and their relationship, and the found family they have with their coworkers. I could really relate to aspects of James and her character development- specifically finding her independence and developing self-love and acceptance. Also, can we talk about Ozzy for a second?! He is so patient and cares so much about not only James but his siblings as well.
