Champion Power Equipment 11,000-Watt Wireless Remote Start Home Backup Portable Inverter Generator with Quiet Technology and CO Shield

For someone with a history of Hondas, my (skeptical) first day leaves me MORE than pleased with this beast of a power plant. I'm on the east coast - it shipped from California (cross country freight jitters? you bet!). The promised delivery time was a VERY slow 13 days, but it arrived in Charlotte, NC after only 4 days. I called CEVA home delivery people who graciously arranged delivery 5 days earlier than originally scheduled.It came in on a wrapped pallet on a big box truck with a lift gate and took two guys to get it up to my porch (200+ pounds). The outer box didn't even have a scratch and the inner packaging was as solid as I've ever seen. The unit was in 100% perfect condition.All of the promised accessories were present. The instruction manual was easy to read and easy to follow. Setup took me about 90 minutes only because I read and re-read the instructions to be sure I got it right, and because I don't do this but about once every 10 years, and because I'm new to all the digital technology on generators. The remote paired up right away. The container of oil was exactly the amount the instructions called for (no waste or left overs). The battery connected perfectly and was charged up. The generator fired up on the very first attempt using electric push-button start. Later, it fired up using the remote start and engine stop. I'm not accustomed to an electronic choke, but this one's automatic choke functioned perfectly the first time. The noise level is fully half of my NorthStar/Honda 10k current generator, and meets my expectations just fine.After running it with no load for about 30 minutes, I connected a 50 amp cable to my existing house port, turned off the shore power and all of the breakers, then fired up the generator. After turning the breakers on one-by-one, I was able to run air fryer, coffee maker, lights, water heater, and home PC with nearly undetectable groans from the generater running at full speed - NOT in the economy mode. My 10k NorthStar/Honda will groan a little when the clothes dryer starts and I expect this unit may do the same, but I haven't tried it yet.These units apparently take more detailed and more frequent maintenance actions according to the manual, but if it performs like today over time, it will be well worth keeping this little beast in shape. Customer service is first class but takes time to get through on the phone (likley hurricane related). I needed an Amazon 'receipt' (easily done on desktop PC) to fully register my generator.In summary, this is a seriously stout competitor to the more expensive Honda inverter units I've had in the past. I will update this review if anything changes, but for now - WOW!*****Since my initial week, I've contacted Champion customer service twice (turned out to be my errors) and am very pleased with their ease of contact and willingness to help. Highly recommended product and company.

This is my 3rd Champion Generator. They have always been very reliable and very well built. This inverter I wanted more running watts than my previous inverter to run more things in my house at once. I needed to get a new Gentent canopy to fit this inverter, they are different for the closed inverters. This gentent is as large as they come for the inverters and it’s cutting really close. I needed this so I can run it in bad weather, this one was tough to install and I had to purchase an extra clear skirt cover because the control panel is elongated on this unit compared to other inverters. It really needs (2) clear covers to cover the entire panel, so I ordered another one to cover it completely. (Not shown in the pics)If are looking for reliable company and inverter than this is the inverter generator for you. Easy to install, I set up the entire thing in 30 Minutes completely running. This inverter is actually quieter than the open frame inverters and doesn’t even show a hiccup when adding a well pump, water heater, 2 refrigerators, furnace, lights TV and computers. That’s all I need in a storm. Highly recommend Champion and this inverter.

This unit is reliable and very quiet. It will start in Eco mode and automatically adjust in the event more power is needed. Even at full power, it’s much quitter than our previous generators. Plus, this 11,000-watt unit can run the whole house (3k sq ft) while remaining under 25%. We’re in California, and with the increased safety power shutoffs becoming more common due to the dry weather, this has become essential. So happy with this purchase!

It's mainly used as a whole home backup generator. I am able to power everything in my home with ease including my well pump and hybrid electric water heater. I'm able to run this close to my home and can barely hear it. It used about 1 gallon of fuel during a 4 hour power outrage. The electric start works great for easy start on those cold winter nights. It also starts up fairly easy using the pull start as well. The wheels and heavy duty handle make it very easy to move around. Assembly was fairly simple and not much to it. This is hands down the best unit available for the price.

Awesome generator, very high quality, extremely quiet. Absolutely glad I purchased it.I've owned plenty of generators as an owner of a construction company, as well as residential rentals, and avid RV user. Honestly can't go wrong with this one for the money if this is in the wattage/amp range you're looking for. Solid buy.

I had a different generator, which would not run my heat pump- the power was too dirty (high THD). I took a chance that this one, being an inverter type with low THD would run it. The heat pump doesn't know the difference between this generator and the main power coming in from the power company. My 2 complaints are:1. You need to remove 4 screws to check the oil2. The 50 amp plug is so low on the generator that I needed an adapter to plug my 50 amp cord into it. The 50 amp cord is so thick that it would not bend in the space below the plug on the generator

Directions aren’t great

Purchased this generator for clean power, I did have to also purchase an extension/adapter for my 50 amp cord plug due to the generator frame not allowing the plug to seat onto the generator. Everything is straight forward with the generator, it was also an easy process switching it to a floating neutral.Had to put it to work last week due to an ice storm taking out our power. The generator ran with no issues, absolutely no light flicker in the house with a heavy load and all my electronics were happy. If you purchase, remember to do a practice run with your lockout to make sure you do not need an adapter. You may also want to consider buying a bonding plug if you intend to using it for dual purposes after converting it to a floating neutral.
