Beautiful paints, but was given a used package!!I have been drooling over these colors since they were first released and they are absolutely gorgeous and well worth the wait, but I have to say, I’m not happy about receiving a used set!! If it was anymore used than this, I would have returned it, but I don’t appreciating full price for something someone already got to play with! It looked like someone just tried the paints with a small brush to try out ans decided it wasn’t for them and sent it back. I feel like Amazon should have a separate payment option for used items given at a discount and not be sold for full price or at least let the customer decide if they want to still purchase it after someone else tried it out. It’s not that big of a deal, just obviously super annoying.At the end of the day and in all honesty, I would have paid twice as much for these paint because I do love them so much! But I bought these with a gift card my mom sent to me for a birthday gift so that’s more or less the reason why I’m so annoyed with them being used already.The first few photos are of before I got to try them for myself and of the torn packaging as well.I decided that even though they were used, I still gave these 5stars because they are exactly as I was expecting and are absolutely gorgeous paints!!As most reviewers of these paints, have to agree that the extra pan for “water” is actually quite useful unless you’re ONLY using ONE color at a time because the pan is so small. I would have liked to see a whole extra color OR 6 colors WITH 6 extra empty pans, on for each color, but to add ONLY one pan when these colors require so much water to really strut their stuff, is just silly because it forces you to use an extra palette anyways.I thinks these colors would really pop if they were used on cold pressed/rough WC paper. I just used a random piece of cardstock to test them out really quickly.I can’t wait to make some real art with them!!

These are some of the prettiest paints I've ever used. The are colors are beautiful, and the granulated effect is striking and work great. They make for a loose and fluid painting experience that was very enjoyable!These paints are easy to create something beautiful with. They go on the paper smooth. I wouldn't go into these expecting precision, as that isn't really the idea behind them. They can be applied opaque or transparent.Paper used is Canson Mixed Media Artist Grade 130lb. I have been using these watercolor paints for over a year now with all my personal projects, and I continue to be amazed by their performance. The vibrancy and depth of the colors, even after drying, are outstanding. Each pigment remains rich and true, which has been a game-changer for my artwork. The transparency is exceptional, especially when layering—there’s no risk of the colors turning muddy, even with multiple washes.What impresses me the most is the lightfastness. The colors stay vibrant and do not fade over time, which is a significant improvement over other brands I’ve used in the past. Additionally, the flow and consistency of these paints are fantastic. They move beautifully across the paper, whether I’m using controlled techniques or allowing for more free-flowing effects. A few sprays of water are all it takes to rehydrate the pans, and they’re ready to use again.The amount of paint you receive in each pan is generous, and they last a long time, making them a great value for the price. The packaging is portable and functional, though I would suggest something more durable to better protect these beautiful paints.Overall, these watercolors have exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional-grade quality that lasts.

It is quite different watercolor. I have taken some time to learn how they work. It’s good to mix in separate mixing ceramics. Each seems to come out better the more you add water, therefore I use them from the areas in my mixing ceramic where I premix. They are beautiful colors and the aurora effect is amazing. For sure worth the money to even just try. I think you will love them.

Love these paints, they are smooth, blend well, and are nice and creamy.

Great quality, the colors are not obvious when you paint, but look fantastic when dried, make yoursef a swatch card, and do not overwork it, let it dry and add more if needed, or it my it get muddled

Beautiful self granulating watercolors at an affordable price. The English given names to each color doesn’t really match them in my opinion, but I just used a piece of watercolor paper to make swatches and gave them my own color names. They’re still very good. I’d definitely recommend them!
