Interesting coffee blend
Coffee and Lion's Mane are part of my morning routine. I usually take them separately though. I love the idea of Oyl focus mushroom coffee. It combines arabica coffee, reishi and cordyceps mushrooms and lion's mane. The coffee blend comes in a nice resealable pouch. There are no instructions apart from the dosage which is 12g. It is ground coffee - not soluble - so you will need a coffee maker or sorts. While I love the quality, I would have preferred it to be soluble to be used with some hot water like instant coffee. The brewed coffee feels weak and doesn't really taste like coffee. 12g seems a lot for a cup of coffee.I would have loved to love it more than I do but it just doesn't quite do it for me personally. I'm sure this is great for anyone else who doesn't mind getting the cafetiere out.

Strong tasting and expensive coffee
Ground Arabica beans with Reishi, Lions Mane & Cordyceps Militaris mushroom extract that I CANNOT taste. What it does taste like is a dense, rich coffee that I find very agreeable. Brewed in a cafetière and served in a mug with a splash of oat milk and half a teaspoon of dark Muscovado sugar, it tastes like a full on proper, strong coffee. If you want a coffee that tastes like coffee and has some added health benefits, give it a try. It is extremely expensive, mind.

Best Mushroom Enhanced coffee out there
I’ve tried all the most popular brands out there, and OYL is by far the best tasting mushroom enjance coffee on the market. Tastes great and really works. Integral part of my day.

Acquired taste 🤔🫤
Having just recently getting a espresso machine I have been testing out new and different types of coffee's.This came up and I was intrigued 🤔First I'll start with the price.Currently £23.40 it comes in a plastic type sealed bag and upon opening coffee was trapped in the top part so went all over my counter top 😖😕The smell I'll admit once open didn't fill me with arrrrrh coffee feeling I usually get and was more of a ewww kind of feeling 😞Not really off to a great start was I🤣After filling my porta filter with my required amount I then went to seal the bag back up with the push seal at the top.Nope not happening because the seal had got coffee in there aswell from when it was packaged and would snap back together to seal it😡After putting the coffee into a airtight tub I then proceeded to make the coffee. It looks like coffee. Taste like coffee but there's just some added extra taste that I cannot describe and left me tipping the rest of the cup down the sink 😭😞.Maybe it's an acquired taste but it's definitely not one I'll be tasting again I'm afraid.I love my coffee's in the morning but this one I really cannot recommend to be honest.

Earthy coffee - the mushrooms don't add much
This is a very earthy coffee, it has a nice milder taste and scent. It combines 100% arabica beans with lion’s mane, reishi, and cordyceps mushrooms, it tastes rich and provides the same caffeine boost as coffee does. The mushroom doesn't seem to have had any particular effect or benefit in terms of alertness, it does leave a lot of residue at the bottom of the mug however. The blend of mushrooms adds a subtle, earthy note that complements the coffee without overpowering it.The pouch it comes in is nice, it seals well and has a vent to let it breathe.

Not my cup of coffee
Made with 100% Arabica beans sourced from Brazil with the addition of extracts of three types of mushroom with their supposed health benefits. This pre-ground coffee is not suitable for espresso coffee makers as the grind is too coarse. I therefore poured the recommended 12g into a cafetiere and tasted the results with and without milk. I cannot testify to its cognitive nor immunity system support or mood effects but as a coffee I did not find it pleasurable. I am also unsure that any benefits gained from the addition of mushroom extracts is not countermanded by the caffeine in the coffee.I preferred the taste black and without milk but yet my partner preferred it with milk. Not a coffee that wowed me or one which stood out from other good arabica blends in my opinion. Despite its 2023 one star great taste award I’m not a convert to this coffee with the addition of mushroom extracts and at £23.40 for 400g is very expensive indeed.
