Parafilm M PM992 All Purpose Laboratory Film,Semi-Transparent

A friend recommended this. I make perfumes and this is an excellent way to seal the cap without having to use ugly plumber’s tape during shipping.It’s also quite large, bigger than my hand.

I was familiar with Parafilm from my student days in Chemistry labs. I started hearing from people that Parafilm had uses outside of the lab as well. Folks are using it to seal perfume bottles, decant, and travel sprays to prevent or reduce perfume evaporation. There is a bit of a learning curve to using this stuff. It is stretchy, but if you pull too much, it will break. That's why I gave it 4 stars, even though the roll I received was in great shape. Very happy to have it!

Good product , it’s thick so you can stretch it a lot and form it to top and bottom of the dish to help seal and keep dish attached . This roll goes a long way a must have for serious mycology work with plates .

This is a “must have” for those who have high-end perfume collections, this stops, leakage, and evaporation on glass, stopper perfumes, and glass & plastic decants. Others use plumbers tape or electrical tape and those products are not as effective; plumbers tape “siphons off” the perfume with time. Parafilm is the way to go every time.

Stuff is tricky to work with at first, you need way less than what you'd think you need. It stretches a LOT. I'd say to use about 1/3rd of the length of the object, wrap it, any excess, just wrap around a 2nd time.

The price was right and it showed up quickly. It's parafilm. If you've never used it, it works as well as everyone says it does. If you think you might benefit from it, do yourself a favor and try some. It's good stuff.
