A good value easy to use makes it easy to see your corals

The lens and the magnet are both powerful in their own domains and work great. I even used to scrape some algae off some hard to reach places as the magnet inside the tank has a felt covering which is great also for removing algae (while prevents scratches on the tank walls). It can also be used outside of the tank for magnifying anything that's hard to read or take a close-up photo where your macro lens on camera may not be sharp enough. On my large tank of community tank, its usefulness diminished and seemed irrelevant mainly because my fish are not small; however, it's adds tons of benefits when viewing my neo shrimp tank. It can work great on such and terrariums as well. Took a picture (not the best angle, but just to give you an idea) through the viewer using my camphone with no zoom on the camera. This would be really difficult to take this without an expensive camera with optical macro lens (I have a clip-on macro lens for smartphones, but it's focal length is so short that the yellow shrimp would be all blurry) or without this viewer. I could get closer and still have focus but decided to show the perimeter of the product as well.

Is it expensive? Yes! Is it a quality product that functions in the way it was intended, absolutely! It is amazing how far in you can see the tank and how clear everything stays. It does not feel cheap it is well built and heavy. It does come with a magnet to place inside the tank and it is insanely strong, seriously if you have a thin tank don’t slam it! Slide the magnets together. Personally I take this from tank to tank so instead of using the provided magnet I attach it to the magnet algae scraper I already have on that tank. I breed neocaridina and Caridina shrimp so seeing them in a larger size really helps with eye strain.

THis is an amazing little magnifying glass with no visible center dot to obscure the view of your tank inhabitants.

Little pricy but Works great, also like to use it as a mini glass cleaner as you can move the magnet around!

I don’t write reviews usually but I have to say this was totally worth the money and if you own goldfish this is so helpful! I have it near where I feed them and the crisp magnification allows me to check over each fish and make sure no fins are torn, gills are bright red, and eyes look good. Every fish owner whose fish are prone to illness needs this!

"OMG" I never realized what I was missing!!! I ordered the 5 inch. As you can see in the picture I posted, the size of the 5 inch laying on a magazine to put it in perspective. The magnet is plenty strong to hold it in place, the magnification from the front of my tank to the back is perfect! The details I can see thru the flipper are astonishing. I'm a 30 + year marine aquarium hobbyist and with the flipper I'm seeing my corals, invertebrates and fish in a whole new light, not to mention all of the tinyist of life I have been missing but now can see. If you want to see your marine environment like it's the first time ever, look at it thru a flipper magnifying lenz!! You won't be disappointed as the " what is that? " " wow " " oh wow " " hunnie come look at this! " and many other reactions begin to flow!!!
