After more than a year of use, this is worth every penny
I have been using this quite regularly (about once or twice a week) for over a year now. I set it up on a counter where I have a small lamp I leave on all the time and aimed at the opening in the middle. I used to mix 25 grams of regular table salt (not coarse since that takes much longer to dissolve) with 1 liter of tap water for each set up but now I make a big batch of salt water in a jug with 100 grams of salt in 4 liters of water and store at room temp to use when refilling. No need to dechlorinate the water, no need to use baking soda, I use iodized or non-iodized salt, it doesn't seem to matter and no need to aerate the water. When it has dissolved and is at room temp, add to the container to the lower line, add a scoop of the shrimp eggs it came with (lasted a whole year but yield decreased over time so I added more eggs each time) along the outer ring, close it up and within a day I have lots of critters to feed my fish. The hatched eggs stay in the outer rings and the brine shrimp hatch and swim toward the light at the center to be scooped up. Lasts for about 3 days each time I use it. After that, I find there are fewer live brine shrimp and it starts to stink. I dump it out, clean it well with only hot water and paper towels and can start over. It is really easy to set up each time, my fish go crazy for the brine shrimp and is a great addition to a varied diet. It works out to be much cheaper than buying frozen brine shrimp. I initially hesitated because of the cost (beware they charge shipping too) but it turned out to be a great purchase and much easier than messing with the DIY or other aerated systems that take up so much more space. This is a very compact way of providing fresh brine shrimp for your fish in small quantities. My only complaint would be that the strainer in the middle that collects the shrimp gets clogged over time and becomes increasingly hard to clean. Would love if they provided 2 with the kit and offered the ability to buy them separately too.

Fantastic Tool, but comes totally incomplete. Watch out for extra $15 shipping charge
Simple to use once you've figured out the set up, but boy their a lot missing- its not like you open the box and get started. The box barely comes with any instructions cause its mostly another language; here's the gist of extra things you should prepare to have;Non Iodinized SaltDechlorinated water or a gallon of distilled water. The Gallon comes in handy to measure out the ratios of water parameters for future use as well as you will notice the process is tedious, getting it right once and storing a jug for the long term is a good idea.-PH Adjusters: because the PH needs to 8.0-8.2 So you'll need baking soda or something else-PH test Kit- Epson Salt is recommended on some channels, but not sure why.- tiny pinch of Yeast and flour for their food is optional since they wont stay in their too long.- Air Sealed Smaller Vials for portioning out the eggs as recommended on their website because you need to freeze the eggs for long term and refrigerate the vial you're using for the short term. I found some plastic Vials on amazon for $8, but i can't say much for their functionality and I only used 20 of the 50 plus i have them inside freezer zip lock bag https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074QKMF2G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1- A Light thats not LED because you also want the warmth that comes with, so one that can be right over the container. I have hanging light bulb hanging over mine 24/7 and temperature should be around 80 degrees- It does come with PLENTY OF EGGS for life time of use for any hobbyist.I spent like two days figuring all this out and buying these extra things that i didn't expect. Amount this with the the Extra shipping cost, and I paid a whole lot more for this "extra Supplement" than the list price. I wish I remembered the ratios for the water prep to offer you but im not confident enough to give it to someone else.Bonus- they sent me a food sample for some other product, but I without any description of what its for. I asked on their website for description since its not listed on their site, but nothing.i wish i could tell you the ratios for the water parameters, but i doubt that i got it perfect. I'll tell you something though, One batch of hatchlings keep feeding my fish for 2 weeks -3 full scopes every day. they eventually just kept hatching . I've seen some people start a fresh batch daily, this looks effortless compared to that air bubbler ones.

Great product! Better seller!
They went the extra mile to satisfy me. I’m back to buy another one so I can have brine shrimp everyday easily. The product works as shown. Extremely easy to setup, use and clean. It is not thin cheap plastic. It is thick and sturdy. It can actually take some real world use and abuse. Harvesting is a little different than the standard drain and strain, so there is not as many shrimp available at once. I now feed smaller amounts constant throughout the day. This is a much better way to feed, especially fry. The recommended amount of eggs to start with is one. I am now up to 4 scoops at once successfully hatching (@ 90% hatch rate) without any crash. Granted, this is my 4th hatching. It is enough to feed many tanks, over 8 at from this dish. BBS is no more than 50% of their diet. If you have 1 tank, then 1 scoop is probably more than enough for 100% of their diet.ThunderAquatics.us recommends to buy now! No affiliation to product or seller. Simply a customer.
