So I had high hopes for this snack since I’m sure everyone has seen these on TikTok. Man they sure made these look tasty and I was hoping I’d like it as well.As everyone has claimed, yes, the smell is pretty bad. Does not smell good at all. the texture was ok, but that was the only good part other than the packaging was good and secure.It was very spicy to point where it was uncomfortable. The taste was not the worst thing in the world, but it wasn’t good. It also gave me a long nasty aftertaste in my mouth. I could only eat 2 strips before I threw them out.

The media could not be loaded. Was super excited to get this in the mail. So delicious, bags are a lot bigger than expected. If you don’t like the spice level of the sauce from Buldak Noodles or Rice cake (Tobboki cakes) then you would not like this. The taste resembles a hint of fish with a major spicy sauce. It’s so good though. Not sure why people think it’s expired either, it’s a shelf product and it shipped without a cooler so of course it’s the production date ! didn’t stink up the house either, it only smells more pungent when you put your nose to it. Very delicious though, will 100% purchase these again within the next few days

I saw reviews on the smell but figured it can’t be that bad and as long as it tastes good then it’s fine. I opened it and the smell wasn’t too bad but very strong like plastic and fish. I tasted the latiao and it was so gross! to me, it tasted like if you were eating spicy plastic. usually i’m not picky with foods but i won’t be eating the rest. the texture is fine just very oily. wouldn’t recommend

I did read the reviews, but still decided to try it. It did not smell bad, it honestly has like a bread loaf smell to it with spice. The texture is not like a twisler, but like spongy, reminded me of how a slim jim is. The flavor was good. It does have a kick to it (spicy) but goes away pretty fast. The quality was good. Nice lil snack. 5/5 for me. Would say give it a try everyone has different preferences.

Very nasty and stinky

I recently got some since I kept seeing them all over a certain Chinese nostalgia Instagram. I’d like to start off saying that I’m not Chinese and that this was my first time trying this specific snack so I’m not sure what it’s supposed to taste like. Taste wise they’re okay but I’m not used to this specific taste but im sure someone who grew up eating them would truly enjoy them. If you have low spice tolerance this item is not for you. I’d like to say I have a pretty good spice tolerance but when I say I ran for the milk and felt the onset acid reflux as soon as I took a bite….these guys are super super spicy! Which isn’t a bad thing if you’re into that. Overall my curiosity was satiated I just hope my intestinal track forgives me. Edit: I washed them (shameful I know) but the taste was pretty good once my tongue was able to taste anything other than heat.

Do not buy this product. It is extremely spicy and made us feel sick after just one bite. The taste is unpleasant, and we believe it could be harmful. This item should be removed from Amazon for safety reasons. You can't return it.

It was pretty good and very unique! The bad reviews are just because people are not used to flavors, textures, or smells like this. The smell is NOT rotten however it is a spicy and slightly chicken-like, the texture is spongey, the taste is again a little like chicken but incredibly spicy. It is probably like 1.5x spicier than a bag of Takis.
