Engineering Mathematics - A Whole New Level
Where do I start? This book has been an amazing addition to my Engineering Life. I purchased this book with the intention of studying Engineering Mathematics. I am a student at Imperial College London, studying BEng (Hons) - Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I really enjoy this particular field as I believe that almost everything in this world involves the intricate use of Engineering. This book helps those who are looking into further developing their mathematical knowledge. The contents are very clear and guide you through the chapters with step-by-step calculations to ensure that you will always be on the right track. The examples and exercises in the book have been set in a way that every single engineering field is present. This is a very good chance to enhance your engineering mathematics skills in such a diverse manner as this book will eradicate the perplexing maths problems that you may find out there in the world.Would I reccomend this book to Engineering/Maths students?Definitely. If you're an Engineering or Maths student, I would definitely advise that you purchase this book and use it on an everyday basis. I've tried many other textbooks available on the market but this is second to none. Some may ask: In which years of the degree would this book be useful? This book will be of use in every single year of your degree. It will boost your academic confidence and help you perform extremely well throughout your university life.Good Luck To You All! :)

Brilliant , clear and probably the best of the bunch if you are are entirely self teaching .
Not sure if it’s because I’ve already been through lots of Stroud and Birds books on the subject but reading this , things are sinking in that never have before . The format is almost indisputably better than either of the aforementioned in that as the topics progress , every working is shown so the basics (that can be forgotten as one approaches the more advanced topics and can then cause confusion) are routinely reiterated with not only subtext referencing where the relevant areas were taught in the book but often the relevant additional formulas at the bottom of the page repeated to save the time flicking back through . All in all I can’t ask for much more than that from a self study book however because some of the topics aren’t explained we well as Stroud , recommend perhaps using this as the main framework for self study and having Stroud on hand to clarify any points that are still not clear or that aren’t dealt with in this book if you need them (such as Laplace transforms).

Excellent book
I am an Aerospace Engineering student who bought this book last year for my engineering mathematics studies and I still continue to use it to revise my mathematics knowledge. It is an excellent book for the engineering students; it covers in great details all the necessary material for the first and second years: starting from the simplest Engineering Formulae, progressing to Functions in Engineering, Trigonometry and Waveforms, Logarithmic, Exponential and Hyperbolic Functions, Matrices. It also includes calculus and a lot more. The great part of the book is that each section has theoretical part and then examples and their solutions for them, followed by the tasks that must be completed. Each section ends with the examination questions from different universities (University of Manchester, Kind’s College London, University of Toronto and others). All the tasks have solutions either in the book or in the electronic form (the access is provided in the book).I absolutely recommend this book for engineering students. It will definitely prepare you well for the engineering mathematics exams. As one of the reviewers has already mentioned, I also hope that Dr Kuldeep Singh will create another master piece that will further develop student knowledge in the following topics: Fourier series, Laplace Transforms, numerical methods for eigenvalues.

appears to be a good book
Certainly uses a simple approach to the topics covered so not a daunting book for readers. Have not worked to the end to be able to say if the approach enables the user to gain the knowledge adequately but the book covers all the important topics for its terget users. Plenty of examples and problems with full working solutions on line which is very useful.

Better than Stroud's and Bird's books!
Fantastic book, exceptionally well written and well applied. Having never studied anything further than GCSE maths, three years ago I purchased this book to teach myself some maths for entry onto a course. The book covers everything, in a very efficient and well laid out manner. Any important formulae used are repeated at the bottom of the page, as a useful reminder. I am now in my first year of an Electrical and Electronic Engineering course and still constantly using it.I own several engineering mathematics books, this by far is the best. There is a wealth of detailed examples, every chapter includes exercises, and even past exam questions. The FULL solutions for every single question are available easily from the accompanying website, something that is not readily available with other books. Stroud's and Bird's books for me are just not as well laid out, the examples aren't as clear, and most imortantly lack the detail of application that this book offers!
