Works as a deterrent.

I was super excited to receive this awesome little solar powered light, I have 3 vehicles with different models of Compustar remote start / security systems two of which have an antitheft security light built in to the receiver antenna for the system, the more basic system I have in my sedan was lacking that feature, and I wasn’t too eager to purchase a newer upgraded system over what is ultimately a deterrent, when the one I have in my car still works well. I installed it a little differently than the advertisement shows, I adhered the front side with the LED and solar panel to my windshield in the same location as my Compustar antennae, and without knowing, you wouldn’t be able to tell it’s not identical. If you see a real one and this one side by side (see video) it blinks at 3/8’s the rate of the authentic one, but it gives the same aesthetic for a fraction of the cost and successfully serves as a deterrent. It was smaller than I expected (which made it easier to find a spot for it on my windshield,) and I can’t comment on the reliability of the included adhesive as I used my own to install it in a way different from how the manufacturer expects, and I can’t yet speak to the longevity of the battery with the solar panel, as I just received it today, but it seems well constructed, and my hopes are high. After a few months I will come back here to update on the longterm durability of this nifty little gadget.

Great little gadget easy to install great functionality not cheaply made good value for the money seems pretty durable due to its construction great quality worked rt out of the package so I’m assuming good battery life I charged my up for about 30 minutes a red light illuminates when plugged up. Not the light that blinks but an internal red light highly recommend also can be charged via solar panel

Almost fully charged out of the box and works better than the previous I purchased. Time will tell how long it lasts
