A stylish 2K monitor well worth the money.
Upgraded from a failing 24" IPS DELL and very glad that I chose this over the very pricey DELL equivalent 32" 2K screen. It is a very slim screen and looks absolutely great in its wall-mounted setting. I haven't tried fitting the supplied stand as I have no need of it, so I can't comment on the ease of fitting or how the monitor behaves on it.There is some evident IPS "glow" bleed from both bottom corners but this sort of thing doesn't bother me and having used IPS screens before, it's just one of those things. Sitting directly face-on seems to negate a lot of it anyway.Checked for dead pixels and I couldn't see any defects apart from one on a white background test which seems to have the very slightest of diagonal lines running through it - I only noticed that whilst using a magnifying glass and is impossible to see in normal usage. Apart from that, the panel looks absolutely clear of pixel defects to my eyes after a few runs of DeadPixelBuddy and other screen tools. It's a very vibrant screen and you might have to adjust backlight etc. settings to your particular tastes, mine was full on bright out of the box. The screen is of the "matte" sort, which helps in situations of sunlit rooms.Menu buttons are probably the only "gripe" I have with the monitor. They're set at the back, just along the right-hand side edge. You'll have to memorise which does what or have a note of them to hand. They're VERY clicky and VERY loud, they're a million miles away from soft-touch buttons. I'd have liked a softer click set of buttons but then things like that all add to elevating prices. The menu itself is easy to navigate once you know which buttons do what but the several loud clicks to take you into sub-menus etc soon gets annoying. Very annoying.I bought the monitor to be used primarily with Lightroom along with some very light gaming and so far, it hasn't disappointed at all. I'd never seen my photos on a screen larger than my old DELL IPS 24" 1080 screen and was blown away by the colour depth and details shown on the new ViewSonic. In fact, I've now had the monitor for exactly a month and I still can't believe what I'm seeing with my photos. It really has made them shine and I don't know how I managed beforehand ! It really was that clichéd "Wow!" moment. For that alone, the screen paid for itself several times over.Gaming, I've just done a few quick sessions of STALKER CoP and SOTTR. I have the screen hooked up via Display Port to a Gainward GTX 1660 Ti Ghost OC VGA card and my system is based on a 1st gen Ryzen 5 1600 CPU @ 3.7Ghz with 16Gb of 3200Mhz RAM. I've had no trouble with either at max resolution and ( almost ) full detail settings. Sometimes not quite the 60FPS everybody wants but very playable and a very marked difference from my experience using my now retired KFA2 GTX 670 EX OC 4Gb card.I didn't test them using the "Gaming Mode" setting on the monitor, I couldn't face the menu buttons' loud clicking just to swap it for gaming !I haven't tested the speakers as I have a dedicated 5.1 speaker system.Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the purchase. It lived up to and exceeded my expectations.Happy with the overall look & style : YesHappy with the screen quality, colours, brightness etc. : YesHappy with the screen quality - no dead pixels , IPS glow : Yes / seen worse on more expensive screensHappy with how it performs for its intended purposes : YesHappy with being able to see my photos in all their glory : Extremely.Happy that I didn't pay double or triple for an equivalent type monitor from DELL et al. : Definitely.Noted IPS glow & menu button noise doesn't detract me from giving it 5 stars, it is what it is at a fantastic price point and does exactly what it should do..Would I buy it again : Yes, given the space & money, no hesitation.

Great monitor for the price
Just wanted to clarify a couple of things I read in other reviews. It can handle 75hz over both HDMI and Displayport. This is at the maximum resolution too. I hooked it up to my PC via a 1660 Super GPU and it worked flawlessly. The side control buttons are relatively easy to use. When they are pressed an on screen guide pops up and it lines up with the buttons. It's not the most intuitive system, but I have never seen a monitor that had an easy to use on screen display/buttons. They always feel like an afterthought. The VESA mount system is perfectly fine. My monitor came supplied with some plastic washers to lift the bracket away from the Viewsonic stand mount metal piece. You'll probably need slightly longer screws to allow for the plastic washers when fitting a VESA mount. 16mm screw thread length should do it. I guess they should be M4 diameter after looking up the 100mm x 100mm VESA info on the internet. The monitor is fairly light for the screen size and my cheapish height adjustable VESA arm had no problem holding it steady. I didn't have to crank the arm super tight. It just works fine. The monitor is pretty good quality and certainly a bit of a bargain. It's not going to set the competitive gaming or graphic design world on fire, but for the price and what I need it for it is brilliant.I'm using it for light gaming, mainly driving sims, some graphic design and normal stuff like browsing and watching movies and online videos. For this it seems hard to beat.Speakers are almost pointless. They make a sound, but that's about it. I use an AV surround amplifier, so the internal speakers were not important to me.

Decent monitor
I purchased 3 of them to make a wraparound gaming and work from home setup. The package contents:- UK and EU power cable- HDMI cable- Stand- Screws and rubber washers (rubber washers for VESA mounting)- ScrewdriverThe ports on the monitor are:- 2 x HDMI- 1 x DisplayPort- 1 x Mini-DisplayPort- Aux-outThe instructions had a diagram to mount the stand but this was pathetically tiny so I was unable to read it - searching Google for the setup manual gave me a PDF that I could zoom in on. It was actually relatively easy to set upThe base is nice and sturdy and at no point does it feel flimsy.I use DisplayPort for my PC and HDMI with my MacBook and it picks up the right input each time. The quality control could be slightly better. One monitor has a dead pixel and another monitor has a slight bulge on the top-left corner of the bezel. But this is not enough for me to send them back as those are the only 2 things I've found. The picture quality is pretty good. No complaints. It looks really nice with the thin bezel, it makes for a clean setup.
